People who think that because they are offended they are right and who often feel offended on behalf of others whether they want them to or not.

I think its just overly sensitive to me. Not being able to handle criticism of something you enjoy, Trump or Farage threads usually bring out snowflakishness in some people.

On TiBB, I'd say its most common when people make threads in the debate section but then not be able to handle the opposing side to the debate they started.

I wouldnt use it as an insult personally, more of an adjective to describe an overly sensitive reaction

Here's the Wiki page.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_Snowflake

'The term "Generation Snowflake", or its variant "Snowflake Generation" is thought to have originated in the United States.[5] It came into wider use in the United Kingdom in 2016,[3] particularly after Claire Fox, founder of the think tank the Institute of Ideas'published a book called I Find That Offensive!

'The term "snowflake generation" was one of Collins Dictionary's 2016 words of the year.[10] Collins defines the term as "the young adults of the 2010s, viewed as being less resilient and more prone to taking offence than previous generations"

Hmmm.... I'm very concerned that this 'think tank' and others are perpetuating these buzzwords to denigrate whole generations, and in turn that is harnessed and then captioned by a dictionary definition.

It is interesting that in every generation youth who inspire a movement or share an opinion on social, civil or global justices they are labelled and mocked.

What I have concluded from this thread by the way, is that no one has any clue what it means and there isnt a general consensus on what it means even amongst like-minded individuals.

Fascinating really :joker:.

I feel like "easily rattled / offended" is probably the closest to being accurate. Which confuses me, since as far as I can tell, it's a term that people only resort to using when they are rattled or offended
