It's based off a film that is apparently pretty good, it's caused a bit of controversy because of idiots who see the title and assume it means white genocide without knowing anything about it.
The original film is on Netflix so I think I'm gonna watch it either tonight or tomorrow :clap1:

I actually thought the film was boring af, but I'm no film-buff. I prefer the cheap comedies and horrors.
I dont think this trailer is well put together, unless its intent was to cause outrage
The film was not anti-white, but I can see why this trailer might give off the impression that the series could be
The people who have boycotted Netflix because they jumped to conclusions need a cuddle and their life evaluated.

Really excited for this, doubt the ignorant boycotters even bothered to watch to actual trailer to understand the message of show.

While the show may be good, the trailer feels a little racially charged and its no wonder some people will be offended by it. You don't open peoples minds by starting off attacking them.

That looks utterly crap from the advert and yes, of course people are going to be offended...
Doesn't offend me though. But I doubt I will watch as I CBA with something that advertises itself in this way. Adverts are supposed to make even terrible films/series' look interesting

I haven't seen the trailer, but the title does give off a vibe that it's a show out to antagonise white people in some way.
I wonder how long a show called Dear Black People would last before complaints notched up and stopped the show from possibly even airing?
But to Dezzy, I agree with you that anyone thinking that the show is advertising white genocide is incredibly stupid as no channel (especially in America) will want to alienate the majority of it's population as it would lose them profit.

The title of this made me think it was a serious debates thread so I ignored it until I realised
