analysis,
nine videos posted on the YouTube
page over the last six months
included anti-Semitic jokes.

another saw a man dressed
as Jesus saying

Given Disney's... murky... history when it comes to Naziism it's not surprising that they cut ties ASAP when this story broke.

PewDiePie overall is a fascinating / sort of horrifying story if you've been aware of him since early on. I genuinely think he has developed some mild mental health issues (depression, anxiety) as his channel has grown to such ridiculous proportions and he basically became an unprepared celebrity overnight. He's not a Nazi but he hasn't seemed quite... stable... for several months now.

I sort of think that he should potentially stop or scale right back at this point, or maybe even transition into mainstream media instead. He's made enough money already that he could basically retire from it completely... And like I said... I've not seen one video from him in a long time that's made me feel like he enjoys it any more. He seems miserable / frustrated / a little bit angry most of the time. A few months ago he did a few videos from America and he seemed to be genuinely depressed in them. He's totally burnt out in my opinion and if he keeps going too much longer he is going to crash and burn badly... Even these "Nazi allegations" are going to have major fallout... It's basically sensationalised bull**** but an allegation like that gaining traction in the media is bad news.

His personal net worth is definitely double-digit millions and there are estimates as high as $60 million :umm2:. Money is never going to be a concern unless he starts going through it like water... which seems unlikely as he isn't stupid... but I guess I would agree on the "bored of it" aspect. He left education to do it full time, etc... isn't really qualified to do anything else.

That said with personal wealth like that, and given that he isn't stupid (was already at University), he could probably pursue any other career that interests :shrug:.

So the concern as always has to be, what does a sudden influx on fame like that do to a person's mental health? You only have to look at Hollywood to see that people who become suddenly very famous, very young, often end up with serious existential issues.
