I don't care how long it's on for as long as it's good! Hopefully it'll be better than last year.

yes i agree! i felt beacuse every1 kept going in and going out it was all a bit too much!
sadly i dont like it long, here i go moaning again lol, i just think it ruins it a bit when its too long, or maybe its just the housemates are a bit dull at times

i think bacause it was quite long last year - it got boring at the end - but because they were talking about that big swop with australier hopefully it will keep it exciting!
I'm sorry, but if we get the same kind of housemates as last year, it will be many weeks too long.
I'd say 10 weeks would be good.
I like my Big Brothers long, but I think 15 weeks is pushing it a bit. Having said that, they did one in Germany that lasted an entire year - that's 52 weeks...

which year was that?
I read it on Wikipedia once *Goes back to check...*
"In 2004, the fifth German edition was the first version to run for 365 days consecutively. In this season, the contestants were separated into three teams (rich, regular, survivor) and equivalent living areas. The ultimate winner got a prize of 1,000,000 €."
From Wikipedia. Don't think it has any pages about the German edition in the English language, but it was on the generic Big Brother page.

Those pictures arent of the house.
That is where the interviews are done I think.
George Lucas Studios definately did the BB4 interviews.

Seems a bit weird to run it for 365 days consecutively.

lol OK
i think 13 weeks is a perfect length, 14 at a stretch to make it exactly 100 days.

What is it with people using that bloody site as confim. That site just goes and writes stories which people put on DSBB.
Sorry to go off on one, just getting sick of seeing that site linked everywhere.

big brother must have a big twist up there sleve to expect the viewers to stay tuned as they would do in the first few weeks - as there ratings towards the end last year dropped

i just spotted the article and thought it would be an interesting topic to post about?:conf:
It is.
They need to be careful with twists this year. Whilst I love a good twist, I quickly grew tired of the HND. And we need more secret missions.

15 weeks was already rumoured for BB6, so it won't happen. Besides, 13 weeks in BB7 was too much for me, so sorry. Even though lots happened, you would eventually forget what happened in each week and each housemate.

Hey, BBUK Sit says 43 days now, so they think it will start on Wednesday 16th May. I hope not.
The only reason BB7 started on a Thursday not a Friday was not because of CBB4. but because of the ratings, and wanting to see whether it would do better with a highlights show on Friday, which got 5.7 million viewers.

im going on holiday in the half term week in may - so id like it to start on the 16th of may reason being is that then im not missing all of the first week of BB8. and because it might be too long maybe finish earlier in august...

If it starts on 25th, and lasts for 10 weeks, it will end on 3rd August.

Seems a bit weird to run it for 365 days consecutively.
In fact, Big Brother 5 was during 365 days and Big Brother 6 during 364 days. There wasn't a break between the 2 seasons, so they didn't stop between February 2004 and February 2006.
I hope this years doesnt last for 15 years, too long and it ruins it, specially when people vote out the best characters first

Yes, in BB7, all the big characters were evicted firsts. I hope BB8 will last 12 weeks, exactly 3 months !!
