THE chubby young lad from Britain’s Got Talent legends Stavros Flatley has been arrested over an alleged cannabis factory.
Police are said to have found marijuana plants worth £56,000 in a North London flat owned by comic dancer Lagi Demetriou, 20.
One pal of 20-year-old Lagi said of dad Demetri, 54: “He burst out crying when he heard.
“Demetri’s 100 per cent against drugs and will be furious about this.”
They delighted TV audiences in 2009 with a belly-wobbling “Greek Riverdance” double act when Lagi was just 13.
Friends say Lagi used the money he made from his TV fame to buy the £295,000 top-floor two-bed apartment where the cannabis plants were allegedly found.
It is understood the pad, near the family home in Enfield, North London, was bought last year as an investment.
The friend said officers found large amounts of a concentrated form of cannabis, known as “shatter” or “wax”.
The pal added: “Police found about £50,000 worth in there.
"Lagi doesn’t live there, he lives around the corner in another flat.
"He has told the police that his mate was a tenant there.
“He said he doesn’t know anything about the cannabis-growing operation.
"Lagi works as a barber when he’s not dancing with his dad.
"He and his dad own about three or four properties around Enfield.”
Lagi is believed never to have lived at the apartment and there has been no one registered there since 2013.
On Tuesday neighbours living below the apartment called the fire brigade when water began streaming through ceilings.
Firefighters are said to have discovered the watering system for the alleged cannabis *factory had sprung a leak.
They called Lagi at a nearby hairdressers and police arrested him when he got to the apartment.
One source suggested police found 420 cannabis plants.
