[The "leak" claims that the CIA has
built up an incredible arsenal
of "zero day" attacks including
malware (malicious code), viruses,
Trojans and other cyber exploit weapons.
WikiLeaks says the agency is
able to hack into Apple's iPhone and iPad,
Google's Android, Microsoft's Windows
and the Linux operating system.]

[Although WikiLeaks has proven
to provide legitimate resources,
the latest "leak" has not yet been
confirmed to be true by
US security services or other
organisations involved.]

If you have a Smart TV
turn off the mic
on the settings

Operation 'year zero' is a long read but its worth it https://wikileaks.org/ciav7p1/

Its notes who the targets are and there's not a single mention of radicalised Muslims or criminals.

Our Samsung tv is far too smart for me, I haven't a clue where the mic is. I will look for the settings.
If they listen to some of the conversations in this house they will be sending the men in white coats.:joker:

I'd like to see the security services stand down until people understand the damage wikileaks could do to national security. Let us all get on with it for a while... until the bloody carnage starts.

If you think wikileaks is okay, chances are that what you know about national security you could write on the back of a stamp with a big fat crayon.

My TVs LG anyway.... safe.

Lol they said this about the Kinnect on the Xbox One too.
Why would the CIA have any interest in the average Joe?Also with the amount of data they would have to sift through they could'nt possibly hear everyone's conversations and again why would they want to?

I swear one person guessed that we were either German or Finnish. We got chatting to this couple from Mississippi one night and I was saying something to them and it was a kind of a long story so i finished talking and they were looking at me and then the woman said, I'm sorry but I have no idea what you just said. I felt like I was speaking Swahili or something. My accent isn't even that strong compared to some people over here :fist:

Haha... You probably lulled her into a relaxed state with your lilt. It should be a thing that all audiobooks are either read by Stephen Fry or an Irish person.

Or Morgan Freeman :flutter:

He just makes me think of Cleveland in Family Guy, when they did the Shawshank Redemption spoof.

"To this day, I have no idea what that woman was singing about. Like literally, no idea. I don't know what a hollaback girl is, but.... I have to imagine it's a foul, disease ridden thing, that wears to much makeup to cover up the fact that it's a 47 year old fish-dog."

Alex has a free pass for Kacy Musgraves.

I loved him in Lincoln Lawyer.

Way off topic now, better stop before one of the mods sees.

Hmmm look at the papers reporting this, not your usual reportage for these is it?
Why lead with the TV when it is stated that iphones, windows and linux can be accessed too?

Remote spyware has been used for some time on both our phones and our cars. Leave your mobile at home but if someone wants to they can keep a log of everywhere your car goes and when. It's tied into the camera's at traffic lights and has facial recognition... we all are essentially under surveillance all the time.

Hiding microphones in our TV is something new. Not that they are going to be monitoring everyone (that would be impossible) but they can remotely turn on the microphone whenever they want, even when your TV is switched off and unplugged.

Are you talking about encryption?
Its doubtful they have been able to break encryption; they found ways to bypass it.

Even if a user turns off this feature, according to the wiki article, malware could turn it back on remotely.

In big cities maybe. I can't see this being true around here; given the fact that I have personally been told "nudge nudge wink wink don't tell anyone!" by the police that 80% of the actual obvious CCTV cameras and traffic speed cameras haven't worked for years.

It's checked first by Robot automation
as there is alot of TV's / Computers etc
then , for example, If you keep saying
"that Syria Connection is good" or
"Bombing the White House is Good"
its picked up.
Then a Human goes through your Text.

Now NM
please understand that Madonna said
on a Public Rally in USA
that she dreams of "Bombing the White House",
so its a common saying etc.
It was used, again today.
on a GMBHD itv Live
Woman's Day Debate at 8:20AM
