Inside the Celebrity Big Brother house she was a world apart from Jade Goody.
But, in the outside world, Shilpa Shetty can't resist going the way all reality TV stars do.
The 31-year-old Indian actress, who won the TV show in January, has revealed plans for her own fitness video.
'I'm not supposed to talk about it,' she told the Mumbai DNA newspaper.
'But, yes, we're working really hard to make the project special.'
The self-confessed fitness fanatic will not be doing just any old run-of-the-mill keep-fit video.
Instead, Shetty is producing a yoga work-out – no doubt demonstrating the sort of meditation and deep breathing which helped her in the Big Brother house.
This year's show was the most controversial yet, and marred by allegations of racism and bullying towards Shetty by Goody.
Shetty, already a star in India having acted in more than 40 Bollywood films, now has huge market potential in the West following her appearance on the reality show.
Her latest movie, intelligently named Metro, a Hindi-language film about careers pushing love to second place, is set for release next month.

Oh purlease.. I really like Shilpa until I watched a documentary on her and then I realised how fake she is.

I don't think she's fake, but she has got a certain air about her but I reckon that comes from doing 40 films and having been an international celeb for years?
That's the thing with BB, I always think of them being 'real' people, and even in CBB it's only really celebs who don't actually have much of a celeb status that are put in to be honest. The only difference here is that Shilpa's a big star, just not in this part of the world, although with CBB she was probably intending to change that and become more well-known.
Good luck to her with the fitness vid.

Shilpa isnt a big star in India either, the only reason why she is now famous there is because of this racism row. It pulled her fame up and made people take notice... in India she is more like Claire Sweeney rather than Angelina Jolie... it is what we call clever perception.
I like Shilpa, I just wished she hadnt tried to make herself out to be bigger than she actually is... and you have to remember she was advised very carefully about how to react to situations....
Plus all the comestic surgery she has has done... wow!

Plus all the comestic surgery she has has done... wow! I've asked a number of Indian people and have basically got the same response - there a one or two actresses who are more famous but no more than that. What is your information based on?

She's had a nose job so far as I know. And whilst she isn't Angelina Jolie, that I agree with, she certainly isn't like Claire Sweeney either.
EDIT: Having done 40 films, being very well known makes her perhaps not a top actress, but a good one nonetheless.

Hasn't she also been nominated for a number of awards. She ain't no Claire Sweeney. Get a grip.

Do you know alot about the Bollywood industry and how many films come out... just because you have done that many films does not mean in Bollywood you are an established actress. She has done a couple of films that got her some recognition and some that caused her a bit of scandal.
Well whatever, I still have alot of respect for Shilpa... just dont think she is as squeaky clean as she would like to make out. :cat:

^ Lol well that view is slightly more toned down than your first one and I accept that.
Nobody said she was squeaky clean, Shilpa certainly isn't perfect - nobody is, but I do still like her and respect her. And I understand that doing lots of films doesn't make you a good actress, however she is still very well-known whilst a lot of other actors/actresses aren't; surely that says something. And as was pointed out earlier, she has been nominated for a fair few awards as well.
This was about her fitness video anyway, so yeah I hope all goes well with it.

To be honest I am not about to write a 10,000 word essay on India and its people. It is not something you can do in Five mins, plus I just dont have the time to do it. I am at work... go and read on the internet or something.

^LOLL Girth you scared the Diva...
Good luck to Shilpa with the fitness video
LOL A new sing song for the new month. Being part of a flop film doesn't take away your credentials and make you any less of an actor, but thats just how Bollywood is set.
Anyways, good luck to Shilpa. Atleast we know, she'll be doing her own Yoga movements :thumbs2:
