Survivor Season 35 and 36 Spoilers/Speculation

Surely they will film season 35 soon. According to Redmond both seasons will be newbie seasons, so no returning cast (Thank god)

Its speculated that season 35 will be Worlds Apart 2; but no confirmation yet.

Today CBS announced early renewals of 18 returning television series for the 2017/18 season – which includes another cycle of long-running reality show SURVIVOR. While ratings have dipped in recent seasons, the hit reality series still consistently tops its Wednesday night timeslot, beating competition from all other major broadcast networks. Jeff Probst will return as host.

Seasons 35 and 36 will film between April – July on the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji, the same location that housed production for last year’s Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X and the currently-airing Survivor: Game Changers. Inside Survivor understands that both seasons will feature all new players. Season 35 will air in Fall 2017, while Survivor 36 will likely premiere February/March 2018.

Yeah it's really sad that the locations used to be such a huge part of the show and now its barely even mentioned. Even if they returned to locations in Africa/Australia/Asia/South America it'd be lush.

I think the worst part of this theme is that we're gonna have some ****ing sports star in the "heroes" catergory while the real heroes (doctors, nurses etc) are demoted to a "healers" tribe.

That's what I didn't understand about the tribe division. I thought 'Heroes' and 'Healers' would practically be the same thing (such as fire fighters, doctors, etc), but now you've said sports stars that definitely makes sense.

As far as I know/am concerned, they wanted to do Worlds Apart II but screwed themselves over by not being able to name the season after a new location, so they had to come up with something which was the same in principal but named slightly differently: hence Heroes (i.e. Blue Collar), Healers (i.e. No Collar) and Hustlers (i.e. White Collar)

And hey, if there's anything that Survivor has taught us recently (*cough* Nina on the No Collars *cough* Alecia on Brawn *cough* half the Game Changers cast), it's that tribe divisions and casting-related themes are more or less arbitrary... still, it'd be nice if they could pick a title that wasn't so excruciating to type out each time
