Hello forum.

I thought I would post this question as it's an interesting one. I've seen a few posters on the forum who are a bit provocative and daring with their messages (usually in the name of humour and harmless really) . However I know some of us are more sensitive than others .

My question is how easily offended are you? Not much bothers or offends me except arrogance . I find it funny how people who are easily offended are even more offended when you tell them they're easily offended.

I think there's nothing wrong with being sensitive. Take Margaret for example . My wife is offended if she sees someone's bottom on the tv screen or cursing and bleeping. That's why I love her though she's a pure Angel even in her older years .

So tell me forum, how easily offended are you ? Ron.

That's a difficult one to answer Ronald, because on some subjects I'm quite easy to offend and others not so much if at all. I've just been trying to think of something that offends me and like you I don't like arrogance. Kissing in public doesn't offend me, although I feel uncomfortable. I must be in a sunny mood today because I'm having a hard time finding things offensive. :)

The sun has come out in Cardiff today and it's put me in a good mood Jenny! R.

No.
Not on a forum, silly to take anything personal really.
The written word can sometimes come across differently to the way it was thought out and written down.
If I found anyone that went out of their way to offend me I guess I would just put them on ignore.

Think I'm quite a sensitive soul tbh. I've gotten tougher over the years though, and I'm actually the butt of a lot of people's jokes now, which I take lol.

Never, I couldn't give a toss but I guess years of being a spectacle and even now people staring at me in the streets I've grown a thick skin. When I was a kid though I was soooo sensitive I didn't even want to ask my mum for a pound incase she said no lol.

Not really. I'm one of those people who can joke about anything. The more offensive, the more funny.

My generation and finding everything 'offensive' need to get over themselves tbh.

Yeah I'm like that too, if I like the person then I'll more than likely brush it off as a joke whereas I'll take it more personally if it came from someone who I didn't like.

I guess it also depends on context too.

I take offense at comments aimed at others such as friends or family members but comments aimed at me don't bother me....stick and stones and all that.

But yeah this for me really, I'd answer no to the OP because I rarely get offended but I can't say I never do, and thinking about times when I have been it just depends because there's been similar situations to those where I haven't been.
