KATIE Price has launched a fresh bid for pop stardom and is set to release a dance track later this year.
The Loose Women panellist, 38, has been spending time in a recording studio the last few weeks and has lined up a team of music gurus to work on her voice.
A friend told The Sun’s Bizarre column: “Katie’s dreamt of being a pop star her whole life, she didn’t set out to be a Page 3 model but being a professional singer is her biggest ambition.
“People may laugh at the idea of her becoming a pop star but she has the grit and determination to make it big. The single is out later this year.”
And a source close to the star refused to comment on her plans, saying: “Watch this space.”
It’s not the first time the businesswoman has turned her hand to singing.
In 2005 she made a bid to represent Great Britain in Eurovision with her track Not Just Anybody.
Speaking on Loose Women about the audition last year, she said: “You’ll all probably remember because I looked absolutely ridiculous, I looked like a pink condom!”
Her most famous foray into singing came with her 2006 track A Whole New World with ex-husband Peter Andre for Children In Need.
She then went on to release another single in 2010, called Free To Love Again.
