I don't support any racing over the sticks. To me, betting on the Grand National is like betting on a dogfight. It's archaic and in 100 years people will wonder how anyone ever watched it.

And no horse racing is nothing at all like dog fighting, horses are bred for running, they love to run, they have a great quality of life with the best owners, handlers, jockeys and trainers.

Dogs that are made fight live in horrible conditions.

No comparison at all.

Most race horses are inbred to be fast which often results in serious health problems. They're made to run all their life so they don't know any different. Horse racing causes deaths- 6 horses died at Aintree last year alone. And often at the end of their career the horses are shot or slaughtered and sold abroad. Great life!

Obviously the ones that actually take part in racing don't have any obvious health problems, but many many horses that are bred for racing do.
