It's an old story that has no relevance to anything beyond your need to complain about women.

irrelevant and distraction, as always you try to derail threads that dont suit your agenda. The real point is he has been ripped off by a money grabbing women but worse still the media barely covered this part of the story instead simply blaming it on depression and mental illness...the man was being stitched up

I'm a man, so please keep saying I'm sexist towards men, it's funny.
There's nothing TO contribute to this thread, it's an old story that has since been resolved and there's nothing to debate about.

It might be an old story to some, but I hadn't heard this before. It reminds me of Gary Larson and why he stopped drawing his wonderful cartoons, because he refused to line his ex wife's pockets any more.

exactly it never made the mainstream news here because our news is so scared of feminist backlash, his last 2 gold digger wives took him for $20 million and this one has stopped his kids getting what he left them in his will....she meanwhile has been all over the media telling everyone how he was depressed and mentally ill and distracting from her own scum bag behaviour.
its appalling that this hasnt been covered

You can't blame suicide on someone elses actions though, it's pretty unfair and it's a guess aswell, no one knows why Robin did what he did except Robin himself.

so if someone commits suicide because they are being bullied and they can't see a way forward, we can't blame the bully?

More deliberate distraction and misinterpeting the facts. The wife and media DID blame it on his mental health, when in fact he had money problems with gold diggers, a fact you choose to ignore deliberately because it doesnt suit your anti male pro feminist agenda

What is there to discuss? Like I said before, it's an old story that has been resolved.
Are we meant to blame his wife for his death? Like Niamh said, the only person who can say for sure who's to blame is Robin Williams himself. This thread is just another excuse for Truth to bash women while calling everyone else sexist.

I must do, according to some people.
Although, if that was the case would I be considered a sexist if I hate both genders equally? :suspect: We should ask Brillo and Truth, the only true experts of gender politics on Tibb, to weigh in on this discussion.
Niamh.

Well, bullying is a bit different I think but still I'd hope we'd try and encourage people to seek help though rather than just accept that they had no other option. Also, there's no evidence to suggest that this is why Robin did what he did, there's been rumors that he suffered from depression going back to 2006 atleast. It's a pretty heavy thing to lay at someones feet

I think Robin Williams' mental health problems were well documented. Lots of people have marriage breakdowns and financial troubles - including women - but not everyone takes their own life because of them. Besides, what does anyone know about his marriages and private life beyond unsubstantiated gossip?

all were getting to hear is the wifes views, when its far more interesting to hear the childrens views who see her as a cold woman who has stopped them getting their rightful inheritance. williams financial problems and the tens of millions given to ex wives...were well documented yet the media barely covered them.

I think the vast majority of feminists have bigger fish to fry than trying to make men's lives a misery. Things like equal ops and equal pay, for instance. Feminist does not equal misandrist.

If they were "well documented" how can you claim the media barely covered them? Where did you get the information? How do you know it's true?

Sadly it does in many cases now and the counter arguments are rarely if ever put across because if a man puts that across he is slandered and labelled sexist and risks losing his job, career, home, children etc etc

It was barely documented as a possible reason for his suicide. For some reason its politically incorrect to discuss that. But his wife was given carte blance to blame it all on his mental health yet was never asked about his financial problems. Nor has the ensuing battle over the will been covered by the BBC or many other news networks.

I'd be willing to bet there are just as many women-hating men as there are man-hating women. Maybe even more.... and men have had a couple of thousand years calling the shots now. Maybe that's why some are unhappy with women? Because women can now call their own shots. At least in this country...

She took the kids to court, not the other way around.
He died with an estimated estate worth $100million so he hardly had money problems.
The wife wanted his wishes enforced by arranging for the trust to pay her to remain in the marital home, and the money to maintain it.
The kids were happy to take the lot, all of his bikes, photographs and even the tuxedo he was married in.
She managed to win the bike they bought on honeymoon and the watch he wore most of the time.
Sounds like there was a lot of animosity coming from the kids to be honest.

You seem to think that feminism revolves around hating men which isn't true while meninism became a thing as a direct response to feminism and it's basically just a bunch of angry men acting like victims when they have more advantages in life.

This really... it's impossible to say whether he had issues with his mental health because of the problems in his life, or if many of the problems in his life were in fact caused by problems with his mental health. It's most likely a bit of both, these things always are, a self-sustaining cycle really but trying to decide whether it's more one or the other is purely speculation.
If we are to speculate, though, from what I know he did suffer from Bipolar disorder (colloquially known as "Manic depression") throughout his entire life and this isn't a disorder that's caused by life circumstances (like other depressive disorders and episodes can be) but is a genuine imbalance in brain chemistry. Then again, it's quite clear that a lot of Robin William's absolute best work was done while he was in the "up" phases of Bipolar... he wouldn't have been who he was without it. There's a sad irony in that. What finished him off in the end was a large part of what made him great in the first place.

Sadly also very common with bipolar... it's a very difficult and chaotic thing to live with for family members.

There are probably an equal amount on both sides, but in many areas the pendulum has swung too far and men in many cases are being discriminated against and are way less protected and looked after by the system. That is a fundamental problem which is having devastating effects in the UK

A lot of threads speculate about a lot of different issues, the WW3 thread is speculative as no one knows the future doesn't stop people from having an opinion

Is meninism really a thing?I thought it was just a joke meme or something.I don't think it exists.
Now MGTOW(men going their own way)is real and MRA's(mens rights activists).
I think those two are not necessarily a response to feminism per se but mainly consist of men who have been stung in divorces and lost their houses, cars and money and access to their kids etc.
Niamh.

There is actually a meninist group, there was a show on it with that guy last year I think, Reggie Yates I think was his name? He went to one of their meetings where the leader guy was saying how he thinks rape should be legal on private property :worry:
