View Full Version : People wearing open-shoes (sandals, flip flops, crocs) with socks

I just hate seeing people wearing open-shoes (such as sandals, crocs, flip-flops etc.) with socks. For many reasons:
1 Open shoes were NOT made to be worn with socks.
2 People humiliate and demean themselves by wearing them with their socks on.
3 It makes me feel nauseous even looking at those types of shoes with socks. Come on, if you want to wear socks with your shows, just put on some trainers or boots!!!
4 Open shoes with socks looks bad on absolutely anyone, no matter if it is an adult, child or old person. It just looks really tacky and classless.

I prefer people who wear socks with open shoes to those that critique these people for doing so.

Open shoes and sandals may well be more comfortable for people.
I also know someone who wears sandals with socks because they have feet problems and have to avoid exposing their skin too much to sunlight.
Doesn't bother me at all, I don't wear sandals but it doesn't bother me whether anyone does or what they wear with them.

Those that accept this "fashion trend", Just look at these pictures:

They just look really vile, foul and ugly. When I look at pictures like these, I just feel like forcibly ripping the socks off their feet!!
I do believe that a putrid "fashion trend" like this should be a thing of the past. Open shoes and socks is an insult to fashion.

Absolutely spot on.
For people of any age as well, no matter whether you're a grown adult, a child or an OAP, open-shoes with socks should be completely outlawed.
My reactions when I see someone walking on the street wearing sandals/crocs/flip flops with socks:

The problem here is 1) these sandals / flip flops / crocs look gross. :joker: And 2) those kind of tacky white socks especially are definitely a no go.
Flip flops (Nike) with socks is a good look IMO. But this can ONLY be pulled off with specifically flip flops and like longer (usually colored (black)/Nike) socks (which I prefer really short socks). :joker: I don't rock with that look often personally but I have a few times mainly back when I played baseball (like I'd slip on flip flops before a game/practice before I'd put my cleats on) and I feel it looks ok.

I mean it doesn't look great in these pics but you can get away with that without jail time.

I'd rather see their talons/claws than their filthy, stinking socks.
