Quirky or Mainstream?

Where do your interests lie? Are you into the standard chart music and current trends (fashion, reality TV) or are you more of an independent thinker and more into unconvental things?

Most things I have very "unusual" tastes, especially in Music as I get told by alot of people that my loving of Heavy Rock/Metal and loving Instruments so much is unusual for my age. And with TV Shows I'm into Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror, the only mainstream genres that I follow are Reality TV and Thriller.

Sometimes it just happens to be mainstream, sometimes it just happens to be unpopular/less mainstream.

But I hate those who look down on/hate things purely because it's mainstream. Like, what's the point?

The lines are so blurred these days, who can tell? Like gaming used to be pretty niche when I was a kid but now it's pretty mainstream. Stuff like DC/Marvel and sci-fi used to be very much "geek" territory but, again, now pretty mainstream...

My music taste is pretty non-mainstream I suppose but also not really confined to any specific genre or subculture. Also I love nothing more than a good hard rock cover of a mainstream pop song :joker:.

BIB, I can be a bit guilty of this with Music.:laugh:

I try not to and I do like some mainstream Music, but I'm much harsher on it than I am niche, maybe because it's popular I expect more from it I don't know.
