I heard a review of it on the radio last week the presenter was raving about it, but then she has never seen Breaking Bad so I dont know if her taste is any good.

Watched the second episode last night and i'm really enjoying it so far!

I spent half of the first episode trying to figure out where i knew the main character Shadow Moon from then it finally came tro me. It's bloody Calvin from Holloaks of all people!:laugh:
Such an unlikely casting choice but he seems to be doing a good job. His accent is pretty decent too.
Ian McShane is playing himself again but i generally find him to be a compelling chap and i find myself buying what he's selling. I barely recognized him with his fake fake eye!:fan:

It's good, I'm a fair bit in now and I cant really see where exactly its going but Its just so unusual, i really like it

Yeah its very unusual but now I've got it I'm hooked. Almost half way thru ep 3 at the moment.

Really surprised by how good Ricky Wittle is in the lead role. After watching him on Strictly about 6 or 7 years ago I'd have never predicted that it would be Hollywood for him next.

I never knew he was English until I googled him after watching American Gods. He does the accent really well

Ricky Whittle surprised me in this. His American accent is extremely good and he's definitaly a better actor than his HORRENDOUS years in Hollyoaks.

However, Shadow is kind of bland and I'm not sure whether it's because Whittle overdoes the "brooding" thing or whether the writing. Probably a bit of both really. Hopefully he'll be fleshed out more now he's properly been convinced of what's been going on around him.

Having said that, obviously Ian McShane stole the show, as did each of the Gods we were introduced to and also Emily Browning. From the "plot device" in Shadow's story to properly developing more than him. She was actually so good it took me a couple of scenes to realise she was the person playing Essie McGowan.

Can't wait for season 2, it should only get better now they've stopped alluding to things and actually started showing us more. Bring on Wisconsin!!! :clap1:

Also, a special mention to Gillian Anderson. Give her a bigger part in season 1 please. :flutter:

can someone explain the fly spray stuff? like at the very start of the ep she closed the hot tub lid and sprayed fly spray everywhere like was she trying to kill haself or what?? this was before she died too bc the cat was still there, like ik the flies keep following her now and she's already dead/immune to the poison type thing but i don't know why she it at the start :@

ALSO did she purposely cause the crash? it looked like she pushed some kind of button in the car and she pulled a funny face before the impact like she knew it would happen/did it on purpose?

also (part 2) i absolutely adore audrey :flutter:

There is more to come out about the crash in later episodes so I won't address that. Watch and see. :spin:
But she knocked the gear stick with her shoulder by mistake, yes.

The fly spray stuff, I assumed she was doing it to kill herself or whatever because she was so depressed. But, according to some reviews and discussions I've read online they say it was a dangerous method of getting high that some people use? :shrug:

As for Audrey, wasn't her reaction to seeing her alive just THE BEST! :joker:
