I'd say the way to cut through in this day and age is internet power.Social media.Campaigns can have success that way.

Social media is too easily manipulated everything is scripted, staged and expertly marketed.
Only personal appearances with the public with spontaneous questions and reasoned considered responses are going to sort out the parties worty of consideration imo.

So far team may have fallen way flat on that, suggesting you are strong and stable is fine as long as you back up the claim.
