Take That were so big! It was unbelievable in those early days. But, Robbie Williams left and did that Life Through A Lens lp and luckily, the song, Angels, did it for him.

So, Robbie became a mega-star.

If you said to a twelve year old about Take That, they would say, "never heard of them??"

But, "Robbie Williams", Oh Yes!!

But now, it is the massive return of the original, "Take That", without Robbie and to buy a ticket for the Take That concert, you better have £1,000 in your hand, unless you are lucky enough to get one, when they were for sale.

But Ebay was the place for available concert tickets. at a price.

and the below article, Robbie may come back to Take That?
------------------------------------------
Full Take That reunion with Robbie Williams a possibility

04/09/2007 2:00 PM, Yahoo! Music
courtesy of NME.com

A full reunion of Take That could be a possibility following hints Robbie Williams would consider rejoining the band.

The star's mother, Jan Williams, has told her local paper the Stoke Sentinel that she believed her son could get involved in the group again.

"On the question of him doing something with them, I feel that will happen," she declared. "It would be something he wanted to do."

Williams quit Take That in 1995, with the group originally confirming a full split a year later.

However, the band's other members--Howard Donald, Mark Owen, Gary Barlow, and Jason Orange--successfully revived the group last year with a series of sold-out reunion shows and have since topped the U.K. album and singles charts with their comeback material.

In contrast, Williams fortunes have faded somewhat, with recent--and more experimental--album Rudebox being panned by critics, while the singer has also recently been in rehab.

However, his mother insisted the singer was on the mend.

"He's OK, he's fine, he's on a good recovery," she explained. "He's doing a lot of writing, he spends a lot of time in his studio. He's in a very good place."

Sorry Princess, I should have worded that better.

What I meant, is, that if Take That hadn't reformed and the single, "Patience" had never happened, and a mother told her 12 year old daughter or son about the early Take That songs, they probably wouldn't know?

But Robbie Williams, Oh Yes!! definately...

Take That tickets are going mad at the moment. Especially on sites like Ebay.

The prices they are fetching are crazy!!

I know that someone payed, well over a £1,000 for one ticket!

It is a shame really. Many families who have bought tickets and were lucky enough to have bought them at the right time and for the right price too. are now being very tempted to sell them for profit, instead.

There will be plenty of ticket-touts, hanging around the venue, on the day. Offering tickets for the right-price..

It is big business and in the early days of Take That, there would have been nothing like this.

here is a couple of tickets which sold on Ebay the other day.

Good seats though!!

"20 grand!!"

I could spend that on so much more better things.

What a waste...

Oh I'm, "Nick", by the way, Laura.. Hi :wavey:

There is a band called the Arctic Monkeys, which you may of heard of. I know that the same madness for tickets and big cash prices being paid was also crazy!!

I heard that Bob Dylan is also fetching big prices..

Anyway, it is Robbie vs Take That and I like songs from both, so for me personally, Laura, it has to be a "tie"

Personally, I prefer Gary Barlow to Robbie Williams as a person.

Robbie is cheeky and loved by many, I know.

But Gary is a nice guy and when I saw the documentary they did, when they all met up, except Robbie. I remember Robbie saying that he wished that he could find the love and happiness that Gary has, with his wife and children.

Robbie at that time, was a massive superstar and this was before he had the breakdown and Take That hadn't made their comeback yet and Gary wasn't doing to well with his singing career, but now, everything has changed.

"Patience" is such a great song and Gary knows how to write them as he is such a great song writer anyway.

Do you know Laura, Simon Cowell was once offered Take That, and when he saw them, he said, "I like them, but get rid of the fat one". The fat one, being Gary Barlow, by the way.

Just after that, they became massive.

Yeah Gary is soo nice as a person,I've read loads of stories about the fans meeting TT and they always say how Robbie is never too generous with his time and the other guys always stop and have a little chat and will sign things or have a picture or whatever.

I watched the documentary the other night actaully again and when Rob says he would trade it all he does seem genuine.Shows succeus and money can't buy happiness.

Haha yeah I saw that somewhere,Simon should have looked past his looks.Bet hes kicking himself now.

Haha I always rant about the people I dislike. Anyone is mean to people I love and they go straight onto my bad list! Oh god yeah it would be horrible,he might have belonged in TT 12 years ago but he just doesn't fit into the equationa anymore.

I remember going into Vinyl Exchange in Manchester and seeing copies of, "Life Through A Lens" going very cheap. The album was a flop and the first two singles off it, were'nt doing much and then, "Angel's" was released and that was it for Robbie.

The only way was UP!! But fame and fortune has gone to his head and now, he comes over badly to many. Madonna & Bono(U2) have headed the same way.

Gary Barlow has kept his head out of the clouds and is very down to earth.

That's the way I like stars to be. Very natural and have the patience to spend time talking to fans.

Yeah Angels made him without a doubt.

See thats why I like Take That, they are ultimately the biggest band around at the moment, they've sold millions of records worldwide and had all this popularity but they are genuine and nice and I can never see them letting it all go their heads because to them its just an amazing time.
