Do any of you know people who constantly behave in a childish way? Do they do this even when it is pointed out to them that they are being childish.
By childish I mean, if as a group of friends you can all do something then when others say no go on and on and on about it! make silly, snide comments to try and get their own way?
I have a friend like that who always wants her own way, and woe betide those of us that disagree. :cloud:
How would you deal with this kind of situation?
What would you say to your friend/s to help them understand your point of view and why you dont agree with them?

I hate childish people who think that all they need to do is stamp their feet and they get what they want.
I have 3 children that behave like that and to see it in grown up just makes me mad.
We all want to get out own way but there comes a time when you have to think of others.
I use to have many friends like that but I no longer solicalise with them, even when I did, if I gave into their demands it only made it worse next time it happened

ahhh.. yes. I know many people like that. Usually I tend to have nothing to do with them though. The people I have in my life don't act like that. The ones who do, end up not being in my life. I have little or no time for this type of person.
I have 2 children at home, I don't need to deal with immature adults who act like children. If they can't grow up then they can move along.

I must be too soft then, I tend to try and be the one who try's to get a solution that works for everyone, doesnt always work though!

I'm just intolerant to certain things Sunny. Such as:
- Lying
- Immaturity in Adults
- Lack of intelligence
I could go on..

All sounds fair enough to me Stropz
I am not very tolerant of people who just go on and on and on to try and get their own way, if I have agreed to re-think something then they still go on it winds me up bigtime

I can handle immaturity at times, I think we can all be guilty of that lol
What I dont like is constant immaturity in adults, those that still cling to the apron strings but want to be thought of as adults in the real world :joker:

I think I've become less tolerant to such behaviour since I became a mother. I have to deal with children 24/7 and when I spend time with adults, I don't expect to have to deal with the same old sh!t.
Plus, having the kids made me grow up a lot.. it does that to everyone.

Sometimes I can be quite childish for my age.
I hate people who will do anything to get their own way.. it's annoying!

The thing is though Sophie, and I'm not being insulting, but you are allowed to be childish at your age. Everyone is. You aren't an adult yet. But, in a few years, you wont act childish, and the fact that you can admit that you do it just now shows a level of maturity. So it's all good.
Was there really any need to remove my posts from this thread? You might aswell remove the whole thread because of the ulterior motive behind it.

Yes it was part of an argument that resulted in two members getting warnings and that is all I will say on the matter.
Red
