Surely it has to be (mostly) new cast and location? Given the two possible endings of the first one. Even having Max as the main character presents some problems, actually.

a new cast could be good as well, but with 2 possible endings from the first game you can have 2 different scenarios for your other story, to involve the first one in, or having a story in the newspaper about a town being destroyed or just Nathan Prescott being arrested for shooting Chloe


either way Max is alive and she knows everything, so i think she could feature in this game, but a new cast is more realistic to make a whole new story :)

The endings are just too different I think... You would have to have two completely separate stories right from the start which would just be impossible to make.

I just worry that they'll try to shoehorn in Max... and maybe even Chloe because she was so popular with fans... Which would completely undermine the impact of the ending of the first game. It would be tragic to cheapen the original in the effort to sell a sequel.

I'm hoping for a new main character with the same powers for a sequel - maybe with a cameo from Max mid to late game, with her having tracked you down after recognising the "signs" that someone is messing with time, and she would come to tell you about the consequences...
