Former Britain's Got Talent finalist Tina Humphrey has sadly died at the age of 45, following a battle with cancer.

Tina, along with her incredible dancing dog Chandi, reached the final of the talent competition's fourth series back in 2010, finishing fourth behind eventual winners Spelbound.

Speaking of his wife's death, which happened earlier this month, Tina's husband Steve said that he was "devastated" but happy that "she is no longer suffering and is at peace" (via The Express).

"I miss her so much and find it hard to believe that the shattered pieces of my heart will ever begin to heal, but I know they will because she lives on in me and always will," he continued.

"I love her so much. She was, and is, my person."

Tina rescued her beloved border collie Chandi from a kennel in 1997 and they began competing in heelwork to music and freestyle competitions together two years later.

The duo managed to rack up an impressive – and record-breaking – series of wins at the annual dog show Crufts, with Chandi becoming the first dog to win a total of four Crufts titles.

Tina also wrote a memoir about her journey with Chandi, which was eventually published in 2012 after the pair shot to fame following their much-loved BGT performances.
