Tbf we all have Reality Show seasons that alot of people seem to like but you personally just don't get it, I've had it myself with BB7 and Survivor: Kaoh Rong (I even actually went in depth as to why I didn't like the latter to a few of the members on the Survivor section) But my point being is that we're all gonna be in the minority at some points when it comes to bad series and good series.

And as for Jayne I think that's just more of a TIBB thing as DS and other Big Brother places didn't seem to be that overly keen on her, and imo I thought she was a bit average, certainly not the worst but I liked some of the other Housemates more like Hughie and Andy (yes I liked both from the rivalry lol)

I didn't love Hughie (in fact I've not loved any Ch5 Housemate) but I did like the fact that Hughie had his ups and downs rather than being cartoonishly good or bad like most of the Ch5 lot get portrayed as.

Lateysha, Charlie and Laura are the only ones who looking back that I liked.

Evelyn was awful, desperate for a showmance and nothing like she promised. Jayne on hindesight was quite irritating and the fact she supported Bear makes me feel ill.

And of course the fact the worst BB winner ever comes from that very series just solidifies it being trash imo

Better than a lot of the Ch5 series but still not the best. Casting stepped up tenfold compared to Timebomb. I feel as if almost each housemate from that series was memorable and could stand out. In saying that though, series had a lot of WTF moments, e.g. Jason being able to vote out another housemate.

I still think 14 was completely unremarkable. Not terrible like 15 and 16 but nothing special either (and it gave us Gina Rio so it loses extra points for that).

17 is the first civilian series since 13 that I've been really into, the only portion I didn't like was those few episodes with the boyfriends.

17 gave us great HMs even though they were not liked sometimes.

I regard it highly because it came after the 2 series before it and because for me, it was the best final lineup in years and years. Replace Jackson to give us Laura and it would have been perfect.

The only person that brought nothing was Alex, and even he did show himself when Hughie was around to annoy him.

As Salv wrote - the greatest merit of BB17 was that almost every housemate led or took part in some kind of storyline at some point (with the exception of Sam and maybe Alex, who did end up having this weird relationship with Evelyn). They were all relevant, and we didn't have it in a long time at this level.

It was a great series imo. I think though it probably seems better to me because I thought BB16 was dreadful, and after not watching BB for a few years and coming back to it, BB16 had set my expectations at rock bottom. Even with saying that though I'd still place it highly compared to some CH4 series (I'd probably say it was better than 2/4/8/9/10/11)

Jayne was in the top 2 on here actually fighting Hughie for the top spot, where as on DS and Social Media she was about 5th or 6th which showed that yes she had fans, but also that not everyone was behind her either.

I liked BB17 quite a bit. I can't really put it into word why, but I thought it was refreshing after the BB15/16. The series didn't include anyone wholly abominable either, which made it a lot nicer to watch.

Most of conflict was genuinely fun to watch as well, as oppose to just outright nasty.

I enjoyed it more than I did BB16 but I still don't understand why it's so loved (and considered the best of Channel 5 when BB13 exists) - I agree, Jayne was great for about a week.

BB16 still remains the worst series by far. That series can choke.

BB17 wasn't half bad. My only gripe with it was 'The Others' twist not being executed as well as it could've been and the casting of some dud housemates.

Hughie & Lateysha were WILDLY overrated too... don't @ me.

I felt the series was too short. Again, it seemed ideas were rushed and relationships didn't get a chance to get going.
