This is just a little fun thing I thought I would try out for Eurovision and who knows, if it's successful it might come back for other things too! Below are the current betting odds for Eurovision 2017 based on the user's past performance rankings. Each member not participating in the contest has £20 each to bet with and can use that to back any amount of users by PM'ing me how much they are putting on each contestant. The more money a contestant has backed behind them, their odds of winning will increase. This is just for fun and has no bearing on the outcome of the contest, but it will be interesting to see how accurate this can be!
Odds are in decimals to help those not familiar with betting - essentially the lower the decimal number is, the more likely this person is to win based on previous performances and public backing. As said previously, the more money that has been backed behind someone then their odds will improve - here is how odds are calculated. (http://www.bettingarbitrage.eu/odds-maker.html)
Bets for this market close after all performances have been completed i.e.
at the end of Saturday's Grande Finale but before the results show.
