The Word on the Web
13-May-2003
As if BB4's very own forum users weren't churning out enough rumours to keep the tabloids in business for the next couple of weeks, we've scoured the web's Big Brother fan sites to bring you the very latest in Big Brother goss (none of which we'll confirm or deny, mind you).
Rumours about sleeping arrangements - not only for the twelve housemates but also for the chickens - are sending the web into a spin. "The housemates will sleep in bunk beds!" loudly claims one fan site, while another insists that the poor old chickens are to be forced into a much smaller coop in order to encourage feathered interaction. Whatever!
Some pretty wild rumour mongering, too, about the housemates themselves. "No housemates over the age of forty!" one fan site screams. The oldest housemate to date is 43-year-old Sandy of Big Brother 3 fame, but will there be a mother or father figure in this year's gang - or have the mongers got it spot on?
The stories that abound each year about moles and plants, saunas and steam rooms, are once again out in full force - but our favourite and most original prediction has to be The Attic.
The Attic, 'informs' one fan site, will be occupied by four housemates, none of whom will be shown on TV but will instead be treated as reserves. The real housemates can evict a fellow roomy for being "too boring", the website goes on to claim, and the reserves in The Attic may be drafted in to replace them. Nice idea, but will we see it happen?
As if all that weren't enough, according to one fan site we're about to get a taste of the first ever BB uniform. Fans are all in a lather over supposed reports that housemates will enter and leave the Big Brother House in a snazzy, eye-logo-adorned livery of sorts. What are the chances of that, eh?
If the tittle-tattlers are to be believed, we'll also see pigs in the BB garden and gazillions of minders and security guards swarming the outer wall of the House at all times - but no sign of an eviction crowd on those famous (or should that be infamous) Friday nights lest they upset the housemates with their crazed chanting...
So is there a shred of truth in any of these rumours? See for yourself in a few days time...
