Abbott will be home secretary if Corbyn gets in. He won't even deny it.
People accuse May of being secretive - she is not the only one.
Honestly Corbyn and Abbott running our country - a terroists dream!
Corbyn stated yesterday that he had full confidence in Abbot and he previously stated that the shadow cabinet would be the cabinet if elected. He doesn't have alternatives because no other MP's will serve in his cabinet (a fact that hasn't actually been discussed yet surprisingly)
So yes, what a wonderful world we live in Abbot could be home secretary come Friday

What political news are you actually reading?
What political news are you actually reading?
The news where serving shadow cabinet members resigned from his cabinet saying they couldn't work with him and where they had a no confidence vote on him. Or is there denial now that happened? Perhaps the same affliction that has happened regarding his terrorist sympathies?
Of course they could change their minds if Labour actually won an election, but they will forever be known as the people only interested in power if they do.
Wizard.

Welcome back bots
Yes there is a reason why Diane Abbott had such a senior position in the first place - because there were hardly any Labour MPs willing to serve in Corbyn's shadow cabinet. She is one of a very small number who have actually supported him from the start and she has now been chucked under the bus
Edit - as a reminder, here's what Diane's replacement had to say about Corbyn a few months ago:
Corbyn has replaced Diane Abbott with Lyn Brown as a “temporary” Shadow Home Secretary. That’s the same Lyn Brown who resigned last year from the Shadow Cabinet, saying the “the situation” in the party under Corbyn “is now untenable” and that “it’s time to go to the membership”. She said:
“Following the overwhelming vote of the parliamentary Labour party, it was with a heavy heart that I concluded that we had reached a tipping point and, for the good of the party and the country, I believe that we should seek a new leader.”

Welcome back Bots, I recall all that news too. :wavey:
Also what does temporarily removed as shadow home secretary mean? She's back in the job on Friday if he wins?

This thread is a bit embarrassing.
As a group, it was decided he was promoting terrorism, being secretive, and is keeping her because he has no alternatives
And then half way through after the update, hes desperate, and cowardice
Really weakens arguments against him, its clear that some just would mock either way! Good work gang. Strong and stable contradictions.

The evidence for their support of taking up arms against the police and government is there and their support of various terrorist groups. Noone with such views should be PM of any country.

So May can't u turn but Corbyn can change his mind? :nono:
Diane Abbott says she will be back in action soon after it was announced she was "taking a break" from campaigning.
The shadow home secretary tweeted: "Touched by all the messages of support. Still standing! Will rejoin the fray soon. Vote Labour!"
One Labour MP said she had a long-term medical condition that had played a part in sub-par campaign performances.
Shadow minister Lyn Brown is to stand in for Ms Abbott, who pulled out of two media appearances on Tuesday.
