I heard on Capital Radio News this morning that Hayley Evetts is to take over from Cat Deeley on SM:tv when Cat leaves the show later this year.

Apparently they were so impressed with the presenting she did on 'This Morning' last week that they offered her a deal straight away.

I don't know how true this is, but Capital is usually fairly reliable.

That is great news! I thought she did really well on This Morning, she seemed a natural in front of the cameras :hello:

Brian said on the final that he had spoken to Hayley, maybe he put a word in for her!

I thought Hayley wanted to be a singer :conf:

Discolady, when it comes down to it, we all just want to be stars! I'm sure Hayley will do well on SM:TV.

Pity though that Helen was lost to Sky One instead of This Morning when she was similarly recognised as a 'natural'. I remember Ant and Dec were effusive about her. If there had been an opening then, we might have seen her and Brian clowning around every week.

I think Hayley will be really good on SMTV - Cat is good but Hayley has got a fab personality. Her, Brian and James will make a fab team - wish her the best of luck!!!:joker::hello:

I've not seen her on This Morning, but I'm sure she'd be great.

I do love Helen, and want to see much more of her on tv, but I don't think she should do something with Brian - at least not LIVE tv with Brian. It would be chaos! And how long until they forgot they were on tv (as they did in the house) and started being vulgar to each other?

I'm in favour of an idea someone had ages ago that involved them being abandoned somewhere and having to work out how to do something all on their ownsome - like pitch a tent and sleep in it, or cook a whole meal (not porridge) by themselves! A kind of Challenge Anneka for the practically challenged. :spin2:
