What are your thoughts on this? They were talking about on the radio station I listen to and i was surprised by how many people thought it was weird. My kids used to kiss me on the lips when they were young, I think it would have been more odd to make it into something it's absolutely not by pulling away and saying you can't kiss me on the lips  basically I think it's more worrying that people are trying to sexualise a young child showing affection to her parents (Victoria has done this as well as david)
The 42-year-old former footballer has caused controversy on social media after posting a photograph of him kissing his daughter, Harper, on the lips.

In the words of The Killers: 'It was only a kiss.'
However, David Beckham has learned that even a photograph of a loving peck shared between a father and daughter is never just that.
Last week, you'll have seen the father-of-four posted a picture of himself kissing his five-year-old daughter, Harper, on the lips to Instagram, while enjoying a family holiday in Africa.
The former Manchester United footballer captioned the adorable photograph: 'Kiss for Daddy', almost a year after his wife, Victoria Beckham, posted a similar photograph of herself smooching their daughter on her birthday.

Wow, anything to knock someone down or create a headline. I find it ridiculous.

I'm sure I remember something similar with a celebrity baby/kid recently. Was a load of rubbish then and a load of rubbish now.

Assumed this is generally what all parents do with their kids when they're that age and it sort of naturally dies out as soon as they approach their teens

This is stupid, it's not even a debate, why does this stuff make the news? They should find the people who don't show any affection to their kids and call them out.

Well this child kissed her dad on his lips in the last years of his life.
Pure sign of affection.
Only small minded people could see wrong in it.

I've got to admit, I don't think I've ever kissed my kids on the lips but then my parents never kissed me on the lips so that's probably why I've never done it. It doesn't strike me as strange at all. Why on earth would someone try and sexualize this?!?
I thought it was only France that had rules on kissing!!

Most very young children will kiss on the lips automatically. Mine used to give us big wet smackers when they were small. The place they chose to kiss was never something I recall us initiating. The only problem with this is in the heads of people who object. It is completely innocent.

By that comment though you are sexualising it in a way, like why is it ok for a girl but not a boy?

My son would sometimes kiss his dad on the lips when he was little.
Even now when he has been away he will embrace and kiss his father. It both moves and makes Mr Jaxie a bit awks because his father wasn't a hugger. He wouldn't change it for the world.

It's usually the kids that do it though, they just automatically go for the lips when they're little

Nothing wrong with it. The people complaining are the ones with the issue. Next.
