i have a problem with anyone that hides their true beliefs when they conflict with what they are saying in relation to politics, because they are trying to mislead the people voting for them. I apply this equally to all people, across all the parties.

He wasn't great for the role but remember he took over leadership of a party that had just been decimated and lost the vast majority of their MPs. Leading the Lib Dems was not an attractive proposition in those circumstances but they have doubled their membership under him and increased their number of MPs by half so he has not been that big a disaster.

I checked out the Trailer for the new upcoming 'STAR TREK Discovery' TV Series on Youtube yesterday and i was absolutely STUNNED by the amount of vile anti-Female, Racist drivel that was posted in the comments section. When you see stuff like that it makes it slightly more understandable how Trump got in.
Nevermind. They're by far the minority and Trump's 'presidency' is not gonna' last much longer so hopefully the US can get back on track, somewhat.

It's insane, I don't get how people justify throwing such vitrol at other human beings, it's just really confusing. I guess it's driven by some sort of fear? They think Trump will keep them safe or something I imagine.

Christians should be held to account when they say something contradictory to what they believe to secure votes. There is no problem with someone who campaigns based on what they actually believe. Same goes for anyone trying to deceive.

I grew quite fond of Tim Farron during the General Election campaign. Though calling for another referendum was ridiculous and bound to harm his party further. What Farron did do was add a sense of civility and humour to the General Election campaign and I will be sorry to see the back of him.

I also sympathised by the way his religious beliefs were constantly dragged into the debate. Like others have said here, why should his religious beliefs be held against him.
