A 36-year-old matador has been killed by a bull in France after tripping on his cape and being impaled by a horn.
Prize bullfighter Ivan Fandino, who had been a professional for 12 years, died in hospital after suffering from a punctured lung yesterday.
The Spaniard, from the Basque region, leaves behind a wife and daughter after his death in the bullring at Mont-de-Marsan, France.
'It's a tragedy,' said a shocked colleague. 'We just do not know how it could have happened.'

I had no idea they did this in France. How is this still a thing anywhere.
This happened loads and it never feels like a tragedy
I witnessed a bull fight as a kid, horrible event it was. Given they shouldn't be doing it in the first place, I don't have a lot of sympathy

'We just do not know how it could have happened.'
"How could I have possibly been stung to death by bees?" asks professional bee hive-kicker

Not only they're abusing animals, they also lack logic.
Not a single tear was shed.

Bloody dickheads, that poor animal,I hate people like this one less the better, the people who pay to watch this are almost as bad
Also... "award-winning"? What awards are there for bull-fighting? Most bulls killed? Swishiest cape?

R.I.P. to the bullfighter.
Bullfighting is not something I condone, but I do understand their traditions.
The condemnation of bullfighters must also be directed at every spectator.:fist:

how many bulls did he gore to death before one got him? I have no sympathy for a man who made his name from murdering these terrified animals.

The animal suffers a lingering death...traditions like this should be abolished.

I think the spectators deserve more of the hate than the participants to be honest. I mean... The people doing it are doing it for money. The people WATCHING it are PAYING money to see it, just because they enjoy it :umm2:...
But yeah hard to have a whole lot of sympathy for someone who chooses to fight dangerous animals for entertainment being killed by one of those dangerous animals.

This. It's cruel and I don't much care about those that indulge.

Bad traditions shouldn't be defended just because they're traditions though. It's really not okay and sadly I don't have a huge amount of sympathy for the guy if i'm totally honest, sorry.

I back you joshBB - is bull fighting more painful then poem reading ? I think it has to be. but both are pointless and that is the common ground.

But even though the poem was pointless your poems always have a point, or 2...unlike the bulls.
Keep em coming.
We get ya.
