Many people don't understand how 'tax' works but if you don't understand how it works, you can't even begin to understand how the 'magic money tree' can work. This is an excellent presentation on economic myths by Anne Pettifor

I didn't expect you to want to educate yourself. This isn't a conspiracy, its simple mathematics but if you're not interested then move along and stop trolling this thread.

On 27 September 2015, it was announced that she had been appointed to the British Labour Party's Economic Advisory Committee, convened by Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell and reporting to Labour Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn, regarding which she stated that she was honoured to be asked to serve with such distinguished colleagues and that she hoped to play her part in overturning the Chancellor’s deficit fetishism, and his employment of it as a smokescreen for an attack on the state

How would that detract from her professional expert opinion, that she works for the opposition and not the govt? It does not make her points any less credible, why you would suggest it does I don't know :/

I'm glad some people got something out of this video but was aware that some people wouldn't, a) understand it. b) suggest it was lefty nonsense. and c) probably not watch more than a few minutes of it.

What's really sad is, the mocking responses to that woman's interview shows us what good choice political spending is up against. These are the people who still think austerity is a good thing and they don't even know why!!

It kind of reminds me of the conversations that went on between the workmen in "The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists"

DemolitionRed, if you are interested in economics and money, you might find this interesting. It's about history of banking in the US but I would think a lot of the topics are similar to how things are in the UK.

Interesting video talk Liberty4eva and something we can relate to our own cycles of inflation, depression, prosperity and wars. They have the federal reserve, we have 'the old lady of Threadneedle Street'... both produce fools gold!

They know why..because the last idiotic government destroyed the economy, their public debts exceeded £1 trillion..Endless middle management jobs, and massive council CEO wage rises to over £250,000 endless public money wasted. In wales they decided to demand landlord licenes per property and per landlord lol its communism by any other name...they also deregulated the financial sector thus allowing even more rich crooks get richer and spend over £100 billion on an illegal war which spawned even greater mass terrorism. They tried to claw it back with endless stealth taxes, car parking at hospitals
