From The Sun:
A SECOND family home was trashed after 200 yobs turned up for a party advertised on MySpace.
It comes after gatecrashers ruined a house when a 17-year-old girl’s party was publicised on the website.
In the latest case, hundreds of yobs descended on an empty £800,000 house after a mysterious invite.
Owners Nanu and Vaishali Patel had just moved out and planned to let the detached house in Bramley Hill, Croydon.
But vandals — some as young as 14 — broke in and caused £30,000 of damage. They:
DAUBED abusive graffiti on every wall
SMASHED windows
DESTROYED appliances
BURNED holes in carpets, chairs and mattresses
WRECKED beds
SHATTERED chandeliers
TORE up floorboards
DOUSED carpets in paint and GOUGED holes in the ceiling.
The family only found out what was happening when a terrified elderly neighbour phoned them for help.
Nanu, 58, who runs a drinks kiosk with his wife, said: “There were hundreds of people in the street and oozing out of our home.”
His wife Vaishali, 48, added: “I had to fight back tears. Everything is ruined.
“I just don’t know why someone would do this.
“It was such a beautiful home. Now that’s all been destroyed.”
Cops arrested an 18-year-old male and freed him on bail.
Detectives are still trying to find who posted the online invite. There is no indication the offender is connected to the family.
MySpace party girl Rachael Bell, 17, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage over the trashing of her parents’ £230,000 detached home in Woodstone Village, Co Durham.
