Do you use the ignore button?

So based on Cherie's thread about the report button, I felt inspired to ask if anyone has ever used the ignore button?

There's no point, as soon as someone quotes the person you ignored, you see it anyway :joker:. Most pointless forum function.

I've used it on a couple of people, and it's a great tool for when you want to view TIBB in peace without them annoying you. Although, as people have already said, there are times when said person get's quoted and that can be annoying at times but it's no biggie.

Yes, a few years ago.
One was an over zealous fan that got on my wick and the other was being obnoxious.
Funny enough, I went on to quite like the obnoxious one.
Can't remember if there was anybody else.

What I find humorous about one particular member is that they continually show up to pass comment on my threads even when they know they've been on my list for at least 6 months. The only thing I can see is their name and yet they still persist in doing it. lol Tragic.

I once put Joey on ignore but then I realised that actually i learned the odd thing from his posts and surely the fact he annoyed me so much was a good thing. he still annoys me a lot but i never miss what he posts

I use it a couple of times during on season, this one in particular, but the people concerned are usually taken off when it comes to off season.

I've only had 2 on ignore, one now no longer posts the other who I still have on it I cannot be bothered with at all.
Really rarely then have I used it over all the 7 years I've been on Tibb.
