My God Brother ( my mum and dads God Son) is in the army and he is a Corporal. In july he is going to Iraq again.

Does anyone else know anyone in there family of a friend thats in the army or used to be in the army????

Not pointless, but you posted your reply 11 minutes after posting the thread - give people a chance!

I was thinking about joining the RAF after I graduate uni, to do a fighter pilot course - but I'm still looking into it. It's quite a big commitment, and I'm not sure if I'm ready yet. One of my friends is stationed out on the Iraq border, but I never hear from him really.

I think joining the army is a lot motivated by family. My grandfather was in the navy, and my dad did some army training - I guess it's natural that Im thinking about RAF.

My hubby was in the army - he served in the 1st gulf war (the real one lol) it was a scary time for us all when he was away.

My step dad has been in the Army for 16 years..zz Pssh i dont like it.

My Grandad was in the army years and years ago. He used to be able to remeber his regiment number but he can't now.

My Brothers Best Friend Wanted to go to the the RAF.....then the Army......................and then the Navy LOL he ended up not going to any :laugh:

My auntie's partner is in the army, he's currently in Canada but he's going to Iraq in October.

My Grandad on my Dad's side was in WW2, and he survived. But my Grandad on my Mum's side was too young to enter WW2 cos he was only a kid during the war years.
Don't think there's any more of my family who were in the army. :shrug:
