I'm finally turning 16 on Saturday (I can't wait :cheer2: ) and so I'm having a BBQ (yes I know the weather is **** at the moment but this has been in the works for a while :fist: ) on Friday with some music and some drinks but I don't really know if I should offer any other entertainment (it's 5:30 til late) or do anything?
Help and advice is welcome :)

Thank you, I'm really looking forward to it on Saturday now :cheer2: The plan is to spend the days leading up with friends and family and then spend the day itself/the week after with parents

Happy Birthday for Saturday (I'll probably say it again on Saturday) but I think refreshments and music would be fine. People can chat and any other entertainment could outshine you on your special day.
Yeah  There's only about 10 people coming because there wasn't any rooms available for hire for a big party in the end, I'll save all that for my 18th or 21st but I wanted to keep it small. My only worry was it'd Ben really quiet and awkward with like 10 people :worry:

I haven't got anything like that which is a shame - although I do have Cluedo with half the pieces missing, a Doctor Who Edition of Monopoly and a The Logo Game that is edited towards 6 year olds?
Hire legendary DJ John McCririck, music from Jedward and Perez Hilton can be master of ceremonies.
John McCrirrick and his sweaty nappies aren't going anywhere near my house, Jedward have **** music and Perez Hilton is the spawn of satan. No thanks. :joker:
Hire Adele to entertain.
She's too cheap for my budget :fist:

What about Keith Chegwin for master of ceremonies, Frankie Grande just there for a song dance and James Jordan can do some dancing. Or Steps?
Keith Chegiwin is boring, James Jordan is an arrogant, patronising prick. Frankie can stay though
And steps, not sure they'd fit my audience.

And I'm being genuinely serious here - my dad phoned Bupsi who came last on the X Factor a few years ago (she performs at a restaurant in my town regularly) and asked her to perform but he said no because she wants £500 for 45 minutes.

Uhh. Keith Chegwin cannot be boring. He's a gent. :cheer2::joker:
The only thing I remover him doing on his series was hosting the talent contest that happens every series.

Pass the parcel?
Not if it ends up in Chanelle getting nominated for eviction. [BB spoilers possibly).

Frankie :yuk: he would make your birthday about himself
Morgan.

That's a bit of a diva move from her. Not even an hour. You'd think she'd want any work she'd get after her flop on X Factor
I've seen her and she is really good but I wouldn't even pay half that for 45 minutes, let alone the full :o
Morgan.

Frankie :yuk: he would make your birthday about himself
Tbh I should invite you to come and pretend to be Frankie Grande for the whole evening and see how long it takes people to notice it's actually just LukeB from TiBB :joker:
You'll have a tough job though, there's a diehard Ari fan there who knows legit everything about her and watched Frankie on CBB :joker:

You could have looked for people on e3 group but I think it would be more expensive. For my 18th, I really wanna book Rylan to be there for a celebrity appearance.
See I feel like a celebrity would take away from the birthday self and people would be more interested in the celebrity than the event.

Drinks, food and music sounds fine. There's always 'spin the bottle' to break the ice. Don't forget to let the neighbours know there will be music til late. Happy 16th. :)

Nah the neighbours have pissed us off recently by having massive bonfires right outside our house on hot nights without telling us (around 11PM). The problem is, because it's so hot we have windows slightly open and before we know it the house is full of smoke. We've told them about it but they carry on so they can deal with some late music.

So drinks, food... and a potential street fight  sounds perfect!
Like others have said you don't need to do any more, just enjoy it. Happy birthday for Saturday

Getting pre party nerves, I have a fear of drunk people so let's hope no one drinks tooo much (which let's face it, they will). Looking forward to it though!
Happy Birthday for Saturday
I dont think you need anything entertainment wise tbh 10 people is plenty for a bbq plus drinks and once people start mingling and talking they wont need anything else, the music will be enough.
Have a good time.
