Not true. A campaign cannot seek help from a foreign adversary to win an election and now theres an e-mail to Don Jr that states clearly the Russian wanted to harm HRC's campaign. When Don Jr was contacted by the Russian lawyer, and found out why they wanted to meet, he should have immediately informed the FBI.

I've never thought there was much to this Russia investigation and I have found some of the recent coverage to be quite savage on Trump even though I'm definitely not a Trump fan. After his recent attacks on media personalities, who dare to criticize him, the criticism has definitely intensified. He deserves this. He needs to stay off twitter, stick to his job and stop attacking the media cuz it seems they're now definitely gunning for him now.

The Russian involvement encouraged fake news and Trump and his team were complicit in that. Is that involvement enough to end his presidency? Time will tell, but the stars are aligning, his time is running out and I would be surprised if he is still president next year.

I agree in part but remember it was Trump who purposely printed a fake Time magazine cover and placed it in many of his golf courses. Got to hand it to him, to do that and then bang on about fake news, he's got a set on him for sure.

There seems to be something in this. I noted in another thread that neither Trump or any of his surrogates are calling these stories 'fake news' so I think they have finally realised the seriousness of some of the allegations.

Don Jr got an e-mail from someone who claimed to have dirt that came from the Russian government and it states in the e-mail that its 'part' of their - The Russian Governments - attempt to help him. When has that ever happened before? How would you feel if you learned that Jeremy Corbyn had dirt on Theresa May and it was provided by the Russian Government. I suspect your reaction would be something along the line of - Why the hell is a foreign government trying to influence our election? This defense that its something that happens all the time is bollox. The only other time anything like this happened was in 2000 when Al Gore received a stolen debate prep book from the Bush campaign. His response was to inform the FBI. Seems like only Trump, you and certain - not all - Fox news analysts dont see anything wrong here.

Trump is absolutely SCREWED and it's getting worse by the minute!

This Don Jnr. stuff is just absolute proof that none of the Russia stuff was ever 'fake news'. 'Fake News' , as blamed every five minutes by Trump for his crapness, was nothing more than an attempt (that many Trumpettes swallowed hook, line and sinker) to undermine the free press and make the news to come seem somehow illegitimate. It didn't work for anyone but the delusional.

It has now been confirmed by Natalia Veselnitskaya (the Russian attorney) in an interview with the Wall Street Journal that she had indeed been working with the Kremlin’s official top prosecutor to try to sabotage Hillary Clinton and that was what the meeting with Don Jnr. (and Kushner, Manafort, Akhmetshin et al) was all about.

When all is said and done and Mueller has finished his investigation this will very probably be the biggest political scandal in history.
On the subject of the Mueller investigation..........just last week Mueller hired several extremely high level prosecutors to work on the investigation. That's right, not investigators but PROSECUTORS (the clue's in the job title). This thing has gone from 'smoking guns' to 'blazing infernos'. Buckle-up justice fans!:laugh:
