Anyone else watched this ?

I've watched four episodes so far and it's really good so far. Highly recommended.

on episode 4 and really enjoying it

This drama series stars Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde, a financial planner who
relocates his family from Chicago to a summer resort community in the Ozarks.
With wife Wendy and their two kids in tow, Marty is on the move after a money-
laundering scheme goes wrong, forcing him to pay off a substantial debt to a
Mexican drug lord in order to keep his family safe. While the Byrdes' fate hangs
in the balance, the dire circumstances force the fractured family to reconnect.

It's like a cross between Breaking Bad and Schitt's Creek.

I couldn't get into it tho.

:oh:

he has to launder like $8 million in this back water place or his family die so he has to contact all these cooky places to take over so her can wash money - like a strip joint and realter, meanwhile he is in cahoots with a local gang redneck family and its a tense relationship

all this and try to be an all American family in this tourist resort

very like breaking bad as it goes but as TS says with a sprinkle if Schits Creek

Its ideal for Cherie

I think the problem is that the dad isn't likeable at all... like from what I saw he has few redeeming features as a human being but is also boring so you sort of... don't care if he fails and gets killed by organised criminals. Like that wouldn't be a terrible ending.

He plays more or less the same character as Michael Bluth in Arrested Development, except the whole point of the character in that was that he was the boring not-that-likeable straightman to juxtapose all of the completely weird characters (basically everyone else). And... what made Breaking Bad somehow work was that Walter White is oddly charismatic and compelling whilst being a selfish criminal arsehole and a terrible husband/dad. He's a completely awful person and yet you can't take your eyes off him.

He's a decent actor but this show needed a more compelling lead IMO.

Absolutely, and the way his character changes so gradually but so completely from ep1 to the finale and all the inbetweens as well was fantastic, he went from sympathetic to vile piece of **** gangstar to pathetic, sorry excuse for a man trying to make up for what he can't possibly make up for. Ugh I miss Breaking Bad

i dont think we have

It's a film about the aftermath, basically all about what happens to Jesse, picks up exactly where BB finished, it's really good
