Shilpa won't take part in Australian 'Big Brother'

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, winner of the British reality show 'Celebrity Big Brother,' has denied all reports of her participating in the 'Big Brother' house in Australia.

"She won't be a part of another reality show," said Shilpa's spokesperson and publicist Dale Bhagwagar.

"Shilpa participated in the UK 'Big Brother' as she wanted to do something new in her career and take one step ahead in life. It threw challenges untold and she emerged a stronger and more confident person. Since then, she has moved on in life," he said.

The actress is now looking forward to her upcoming film Metro with Shiney Ahuja and Kay Kay Menon, which will release soon.

Around the same time, Shilpa will also launch a perfume in her name, mainly targeting the British market. Well, Brand Shilpa shows no signs of stopping.

I am glad that Shilpa Shetty is not going into the Big Brother house again. It would probably be a waste of time and she doesn't need the money either.

Shilpa is thinking of bringing out a perfume.

That idea about perfume has already been done by another housemate that Shilpa knows quite well.

Shetty says no to Oz Big Brother

BOLLYWOOD star Shilpa Shetty now says she is not going in to the Big Brother house.

After hinting that she would be the not-so-surprise intruder on reality TV show Big Brother when she arrived in Sydney last night, the winner of the show's UK celebrity version has this morning explicity said she will not be part of the Australian version.

"I was offered it, but I am not doing it,'' Shetty told the Nine network this morning.

Last night at the airport when asked if she would cause a stir in the Big Brother house. A sheepish Shetty said simply: "Yes, I know."

Her appearance on the UK show sparked a scandal that swept both England and her native India when fellow contestant Jane Goody was accused of bullying her with racist taunts.

And controversy has continued to follow Shetty with an Indian court last week issuing an arrest warrant for her and Hollywood actor Richard Gere after he passionately embraced and kissed her at an AIDS benefit function in New Delhi.

Also in Australia to promote her new film Metro, Shetty may just be the spark Big Brother needs to revive a sinking start to the Channel 10 show's season.

Host Gretel Killeen had to apologise on air last night after a misplaced prop opened for all to see a secret ballot to select the winner of the White Room stand-off.

And a task requiring housemates to care for a toy baby was promptly scrapped when contestant Kate revealed she had suffered a miscarriage 18 months ago. The distressed 25-year-old rushed into the diary room and said she wanted to leave the compound.
