Predict which main (ish) characters will die this season :spin2:

Varys, Jamie, either Sansa or Arya

Cersei most likely although my theory is that she'll lose the throne but escape with her life just as the White Walkers get through the wall. I think in the next season she'll end up running straight into them and the Night King will turn her into his queen in an inverse of how he came to be.

Brienne of Tarth, Bronn, Meera Reid, Ghost and possibly Theon Greyjoy [ either him or his sister, but think he might be a hero and manage to help save his sister].

I think they'll try and kill off main-ish characters that have served their purpose/don't advance the plot massively or are out of line now people they're connected too are no longer there, as they've done so far. Bronn/Brienne/Meera have kinda all served their purpose.

Theon (:(), Cersei/Jamie, Grey Worm (:(), Meera, Thoros and Beric would be my main guesses.

Surely one of Cersei and Jamie will die near the end of the season, but I can also see a big shock death happening too, just not sure who. Possibly one of the Starks?? :worry:

Is it only Thoros who can bring Beric back to life?

I've never really paid much attention to that storyline

Cersei, Theon, Thoros

but i guess one of the dragons will die either

Well presumably Melisande could as well now she's already done it once

Book Spoiler *****

Beric is dead in the books though, he died for good to resurrect Cat (Lady Stoneheart)

if by 'this season' you just mean this 8 episodes (ie the 5 remaining) I'd say:

- Grey Worm
- The Mountain
- Bronn
- Jorah Mormont (I still don't buy the "he's completely cured!" story)

Don't think there'll be any major others and I do think Yara will somehow survive.

Isn't there only 4 episodes left? I don't see too many big deaths left really. I will say:

Grey Worm
Beric Dondarrion
Thoros
One of the Dragons and Ghost.
Varys
Littlefinger

Oh yeah I forgot the dragon - Viserion (idk how to spell it) since he's named after her dickhead brother

Littlefinger definitely seeing as he doesn't seem to have any purpose now apart from creeping on Sansa, his ability to make dramatic interventions and revelations seems to have gone

I always thought that he might be the one to triumph in the end because he was the one that pretty much started the whole thing without anyone even knowing but he doesn't seem to be doing much this season bar lurking around corners looking sneaky

Littlefinger (and Varys s0b </3) will be dead by the end of the season, if the next series is all about the White Walkers then the political based characters like him will serve no point.

I think he's ****ed now that Bran is at Winterfell. Bran will know what he's done and as soon as he exposes the involvement in Ned's demise then he's a deadman walking with all those Northerners there.

Yeah hopefully, I'm sick of him now. Although it seems like he should go out bigger than that or do something masterful first or something but that may not happen, i thought the same about Margery, i thought they were building her towards something but no, they just blew her up

No one is the answer to this now because the writers have decided that main characters don't die anymore

^ maybe not for season 7 anymore, but season 8 i expect lots of main character deaths for some reason

Be a bloodbath next week in King's Landing

Looks like we may have over predicted the deaths this year

Shaun

going by the action so far I wouldn't put it past the writers to have a meteor crash into Kings Landing and take out 26% of the total cast tbh

Cersei will die early on next season I think, she's now completely irrelevant and so is the throne

Think it's inevitable Tormund and Beric die next week if the WW's attack the wall

It is a bit worrying that it's going the way of The Walking Dead when it comes to the biggest main characters. I remember last TWD season they tried to do a "Rick death" scene where he was swamped by walkers and Michone was crying and everything, and we were sat here like "lol do they really expect us to believe Rick is dead?" and, lo and behold, he was hiding under an upturned boat or something. Absolutely ZERO drama or suspense.

Had that exact same feeling when Jaime was charging at the dragon, and then sinking into the water. Again no suspense; it was beyond obvious that he wouldn't die. People like Jon, Dany, Arya are "unkillable" for now.

That said, I feel like all bets are off next season as it's the last, they don't have to worry about annoying / upsetting loyal fans or people giving up on the show because "their fav" has died... Pretty much anyone could die in the final few episodes next season.

Though I did think Tormund was a goner when he was being pulled towards the ice. He's well liked enough to be an impactful death, but still basically a sidekick character who is expendable.

where i think Sansa is becoming a more and more killable character, i also first liked her, but i just am thinking this if the WW's invade winterfell it might happen

if WW's invade winterfell there will be some characters deaths in there as well i think

and let's see Sansa's storyline is done actually now without LF, she could potentially die at the hands of the WW's, would make sense the lady of winterfell to die in winterfell

but this is only guesswork, cause i really have no real idea yet

Oh I don't know, I never heard that, that would be annoying though if it diverted from the story, if that was the case they should have replaced the actress(eventhough that's not ideal) to fullful Margaerys story

Locke.
01-09-2017, 01:23 PM
She did ask to be written out but they were writing her out anyway:

Entertainment Weekly: When did you get the phone call that Margaery wasn’t making it through to next season?

Natalie Dormer: I preempted the phone call because in true Natalie Dormer-style I tried to fit a million projects into a single year. I requested [while making season 5 that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss] release me from working on the show earlier than usual so I could do another project, and they ended up phoning me — and that was The Call. But I got it six months ahead of normal. They were like, “We weren’t going to tell you this for a few more months, but we’re not going to release you now, so you can’t do that job you really want to do and we’re really sorry about that. But on the bright side, we are going to release you proper in the not-so-distant future.” It was good news, bad news — no you can’t do this, but don’t worry, you’re going to have lots more opportunities very soon.
