Isn't that in VTE series though? So civilian series? Boring inoffensive males making the final due to not doing ANYTHING.

However Chad was an unknown on CBB (which is a VTS) from America and managed to survive 4 evictions (one of them being a double) and making 5th, that is what is very impressive.

Had he been from the UK, I think he would have made Top 3. He did what he could with what he had, the Americans can't vote, so the power of supporters that he gained from viewers were what got him through. Everyone else from the UK had some sort of a fanbase, he didn't, so his were "new" fans.
