Well this years scheduling is proving they are giving up on the show I mean they are pitting it against a programme that gets between 7 and 9 million viewers when they could put it on at 10pm to avoid this.
Are they finally killing off the show?

Moving it from 10 to 9 to 10:30 is why everyone said they were treating BBUK like rubbish... now you're blaming them for not doing it to CBB? :conf:

Not when BB was getting moved to 10:30
It's important for there to be consistency in the scheduling imo. There's always going to be other shows to compete against but you have to have confidence in what is one of your flagship shows that it can still attract viewers
Remember when you said there was no way that Isabelle would survive against Charlotte

Actually I was the one noticing the spike in ratings at 10:30 so where has that come from?
I think keeping CBB on at 9pm even against tough competition is a good move. It would just attract a large +1 audience if people wanted to watch it anyways. Consistency is key.

I agree I would rather it on At 9pm everynight but for however long these athletics are on they should plan ahead and it's just very lazy production wise.....where are the "coming up tonight on cbb" short adverts?

They cant kill it
- but they might move it to a non main channel - such as 5 star or something like that -
They still make fortunes from it - and its a gamble to stop making it.
Such a shame they aren't promoting it.
They need to just pay a DM colluminist to pay to say how its an interesting phscholigical experiment - and use real examples
and then job done.
Apparent the DM only Charges £35,000 per article so i dont know why they havent done it
and the reason my mum wont watch it is because of 'Marcus'
it needs to be promoted as a serious programe and then when naturally humourous things happen - it will get press.
I know Im not the target market - I am in my 30's and the advertisers want 15 years olds = its called ''establishing a brand whilst their young''
- its like apparently - you should spend £5 on Loreal - because they advertise
the older people already know that advertising is rubbish.

They need to keep the scheduling consistent in order to retain an audience, regardless of the competition. Changing times can confuse and push away viewers. Keeping times consistent means people will automatically think 'oh Big Brother is on at 9'.
I've almost missed out eps because of messy scheduling with civilian BB (as a BB fan!), so it's no wonder people tune out when inconsistent scheduling becomes a regular thing.
Sadly scheduling is only one of a million problems with Big Brother at the moment.

That's not true sometimes bb12 used to finish at almost midnight on evictions...it's never been consistent even on channel 4 it was on at 8pm sometimes but cbb has never allways been on at 9pm.

You're the one making a thread about it, so it makes sense for you to actually name what you're talking about.
Turns out you were referring to two different nights/events so my question is validated.
It seems nobody can ask you a simple question without getting attitude in return.

It seems you're very displeased in general recently, no matter what happens. Celebrity Big Brother would be against something in the ratings no matter what you do or where you put it. I don't think they're "killing the show" as this series has been on for a week now and has actually been a good quality show.

What are you talking about last nights cbb was up against Poldark and the iaff world championship.
Seriously go away you spinster.
There's others here who have agreed the scheduling needs to be consistent and I agree but the production seem to place it up against major competition.
It's getting like 1.1 million in overnights now and that's because of the competition.....doesn't take a genius.

You really need to sort out your attitude problem.
it doesn't matter a toss when its on, its available one way or another after its first showing, unlike the C4 days when if you didnt hit the vcr record button you were stuffed. Scheduling is the least of the reasons for the shows demise.

Also, you and a few other members watching doesn't contradict what I said "Not many of those 9 million viewers are potential BB/CBB viewers" otherwise on other nights BB/CBB would rate much higher and into the several million. I didn't say NO ONE watches both, but not many.

This whole thread is about the scheduling from channel 5 when "can't pay well take it away" is rating higher it's an issue and what I'm pointing out is they are making the same mistakes as they did with civilian bb. do you not agree channel 5 are being incompetent putting a show that costs them millions up against serious competition when they could have easily looked forward and rescheduled?

Honestly? Not really.
If we were in 2013 it would be seen as a careless move as they had somewhat of an audience left to hang onto but as it stands the viewership of the show is pretty much threadbare and exists solely on that small but dedicated fanbase of which the scheduling makes little difference as any of those that watch something else will still catch up and have that total added to the overnights.
Something like "can't pay" rating higher IS an issue, but one that goes far deeper than scheduling. The show itself is dying/if not already dead. It's going to take more than a prime slot with no competition to get the viewers back.

If you want to create a thread/discussion, give us the actual details on what it is to begin with.
