NICOLE RICHIE IS A D**K AT AWARDS GIG
Talentless debutante offends MTV Australia
THE SKINNY: Nicole Richie is famous for doing nothing except being a party girl, but she can add diva to her CV after last night's MTV AUSTRALIA VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS.

Sources say that Richie was the only presenter who refused to take part in the dress rehearsal, not leaving her dressing room all day, and not even boyfriend Joel Madden, from Good Charlotte, could cajole her outside.

Richie is being paid big bucks in appearances fees by organizers who expected her to do the job properly, but apparently she feels her job is to behave badly in every job, just like in her TV “reality” show THE SIMPLE LIFE. Other bigger names such as Pink and host Fergie took part in the rehearsal without complaint.

It has been reported that her management had diva demands regarding her dressing room -- unlike the petite star, her room had to be large.

Richie's began her trip by upsetting fans when she arrived at Sydney Airport on Saturday, refusing to sign autographs for many of her deluded fans who had waited up to 48 hours for a glimpse of their idol.

Another presenter reported difficult is Kristin Cavalleri, an even more questionable celebrity whose claim to fame is as herself on the TV show LAGUNA BEACH. Sources say she has refused to do any publicity and is also being a princess.

Did you just bump this RM? Shame on you.. :nono:

Anyway, yeah, she's a diva. Evidently, she thinks she's better than others. Such a shame.

Not me must have been someone else it was posted last night just before the Paris Hilton story.

I thought it showed people what she is like and made a change from all the stuff her PR people put out.

Not that we believe the hype any of the PR people put out though.

Some people do.... it is a shame they can't open their minds and think for themselves.

The boy will learn someday.. ha ha! I've failed have I? I got you to acknowledge that Prince is immensely talented. Some failure.

How did you "get me to acknowledge" anything? I never disputed it in the first place. Hence, you failed.

You claimed you begrudginly liked a song. A few posts later you were saying he was very talented? Do you see now or do you want me to slow down a little for you?

lily.
01-05-2007, 11:42 AM
I also said that I don't personally appreciate his talent. As for the "begrudgingly" - I like one of his songs, but I don't like the man as a person.

And, no, you don't have to slow down for me G. Contrary to what you may think, I am rather intelligent.

G... you are missing the point. You already conceded to this. I never said he didn't have talent. So, therefore you didn't make me dramatically turn my opinion round. You may think you have won, but we both know you haven't.

We both acknowledge that Prince is talented where as you were a little reluctant earlier on.

I was never reluctant to admit he's talented. You take my "begrudgingly" word as reluctance. You misread it. Other than that, was there anything else which suggested I was reluctant to admit it?

I still don't like him. Nothing has changed. All that's happened is we have discussed his talent.

So, if you didn't lose, you sure as hell didn't win either.

Just something I have noticed while looking round the web. There seems to a awful lot of fan sites that won't hear a word against her or any other celebrity. I wouldn't mind so much if they offered a balanced view of these type of people.

I totally agree. Whatever theses celebs do, is ok by their fans. They can't seem to put a foot wrong.

How do we even know all of that is true? But I hope she wasn't all diva-ish.

And she did not refuse to sign autographs for people in the airport! She didn't have a chance. The paparazzi surrounded her the minute she came off the plane, so they had to get her somewhere quick. She has been signing autographs, I have pics of her signing autographs outside the Hilton hotel yesterday.

I'm afraid being surrounded by the paparazzi goes with her celebrity life style and she can hardly use that as an excuse for her behaviour.

TBH I think she's getting sick of all the fame.

Exactly Red. Loads of people are surrounded by the paps, but they are still able to take some time out to sign autographs and show a bit of respect and gratitude to their fans.

Actually, Nicole Richie is another one who is famous for nobody knows what. And before someone points out that she was on The Simple Life, let's remember that she was on the show because she was famous, not the other way around. What exactly does she do to deserve her celebrity? Not much, if anything, so the least she could do is show a bit of respect to the people who like her.

Yeah but have you ever noticed that all these celebs who claim to be sick of fame never actually do anything about getting themselves out of the limelight?

Robbie Williams is another example. He's always banging on about how hard life in the spotlight is, but yet he seeks the attention all the time.

If any celeb really wanted to get out of the spotlight, they could do it. They just choose not to.

What I suggest for her is a nice holiday in Capri.

If you stay on the island rather than just visit it is lovely. All the cheap stake tourists have to leave the island by the time last boat leaves or they get a trip back on the police boat and all the people staying on the island come out of the hotels and take to the streets, visit the restaurants and the nightclubs. It's wonderful place.

She would love it.

It's all sympathy and attention for them. the cleverer celebrities realise they need the paps and take steps to controll the media coverage of them - ie do you know that most the pics you see of Victoria Beckham are taken by the same man - but, make no mistake, each the ones who cry wolf are the biggest attention seekers of them all.
