Friday 25th August
According to Big Blagger

I'm going to Canada at the end of August so this date is perfect for me

So it's only a little over 3 weeks long? They'll have to start evicting them quick.

Very short isn't it?

Oaker

only 25 days??

I mean I'm glad because that's the perfect length but it seems bizarre for them to cut it back so much. The shortest series since CBB12 :skull:.

Greg!
09-08-2017, 03:27 PM
Didn't big blagger also say it would start on like the 4th of august though

Littlegreen
09-08-2017, 03:27 PM
Yes, extended the regular civilian series shorten the inferior celeb version. Hopefully the way forward.

Oop at a shorter series.

Goodbye BB.

Rest in piss

Epic.
09-08-2017, 03:32 PM
Glad it's shorter too. This series was gonna reach stale territory in the 20-25 day mark anyway

Cal.
09-08-2017, 03:32 PM
It's gonna go stale anyway with the amount of doubles and backdoors they're gonna have to do.

Well the information they let out is very rarely incorrect
You can probably trust them more than C5 themselves these days

I'm going to Canada at the end of August

Say hello to Ika for us!

Greg!
09-08-2017, 03:32 PM
They're going to need a lot of double or backdoor evictions to get the numbers down if this is right

Owen19
09-08-2017, 03:33 PM
So providing this Friday is a single eviction, there'll be 13 housemates with 14 days left...

Greg!

Except for the time they got the CBB launch date completely wrong

Oaker
09-08-2017, 03:34 PM
3 doubles + 1 backdoor would get it down to 6 for the final. They'll probably do that

lewis111
09-08-2017, 03:34 PM
Probabaly 4 more evictions now - 3 after Friday which hasn't been labeled as a double
So 7 HMs out in 3 evictions hmmm

Cal.
09-08-2017, 03:34 PM
I think the last 2 eviction nights will be doubles and then they'll be 2 single backdoors at some point during the series.

lewis111

All other BB information sources got it wrong too and they all claimed the date actually got changed

Tbf Channel 5 did change the date.

Oaker

ugh I HATE having doubles on Tuesday evictions though, the highlights are literally like 5 minutes long

Kinda here for this being a shorter series. I really can't be arsed with this one

Why a short series? Gonna be so many backdoor evictions.

I don't trust Big Blagger. Full of bull ****

Jason.
09-08-2017, 04:23 PM
I think this is the perfect length. The 30+ day series always drag in the last week or so.

Confirmed in the Channel 5 final exchanges. Schedule:

Celebrity Big Brother Final - 9pm - 10:45pm
Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side - 10:45pm

The series is billed as 30 episodes overall, but the final will be episode 25 - so it's been cut by 5 days.

Tbf Channel 5 did change the date.

That explains why we had the pointless launch task, then? I did wonder why they didn't just start the "members club" twist on launch night, then boot someone out on Day 4....

I think it's listed as 30 eps because the Friday evictions are split into two shows

According to Marcus Bentley, the days of Big Brother in 2016 and 2017 are the same. So maybe they have a set amount of days now and this year they split it by adding 4 on to BBUK and deducting from CBB?

This makes sense, but I have no idea why that would've started half way through a contract

Cbb17 (32) + bb17 (50) + cbb18 (30) = 112 days
Cbb19 (32) + bb18 (54) + cbb20 (25) = 111 days

Just for comparison in 2015

Cbb15 (31) + bb16 (66) + cbb16 (29) = 126 days

So they've aired around two weeks less BB/CBB than they used to for the past couple years

If they are axing the show they better give us one last civilian series, they can't end it all on a bloody celeb version!

Nah do a mixed Ultimate Big Brother 2 to end it.

Well Marcus is wrong, because the episode count was 30 and is now 25. It's literally written in black and white

I'm not bothered as this series is extremely bad, but they really need to bring their A-game next january if they want their ratings back tbh.

3 lackluster series in a row ratingswise.
And the worst year for CBB quality wise since it moved to C5 imo.

Civilian BB has been great though.

Well apparently they ARE listening so what if they’ve read TiBB and saw people complain about civilian getting shorter and CBB getting longer; this year has had the opposite

Marcus says a lot of things. C5 officially listed it as 30 episodes long in their exchanges issued to press.

Why is the final 9pm-10:45pm? Just like civilian final, why no extra 15 minutes?
