By this, I mean:

The urge to lie, be mean etcetera.

I think the general idea is there.

The question is, why do you think that it's a human-only quality, and do you see the fact that we can do these things as being bad or good (I'm not asking if you condone lying or being mean)

Personally, I think that these qualities are what makes humans unique, after all we are the only species capable of doing these things. The qualities aren't exactly admirable, but regardless, I think that it's a good thing that we have them. There are other, positive things that humans can do that many (though perhaps not all) species can not, for example, we are pioneers for a lot of things, including technology and science. (as a topic, you can call reproduction science, and I'm fairly sure other species were reproducing before we existed) I don't see many other animals walking around with iPods?

There is a saying, Ziola.

(A good lie, is better than a bad truth)

Human's lie and maybe insects do to? But who cares about insects, as we tread on them.

 Thats because they have more sense than humans to listen to the rubbish on them........

The human aspect you describe is simply another description of survival in practice..
