Ratings could be improved if the show doesn't keep revealing who faces eviction or showing clips from the upcoming episode before it airs because we know who is up, before we see the episode and that ruins the whole point of watching.

They should release the videos after the episode rather than before

I sort of agree, but last year and before that there was close to no online content, no live feed either and everyone really hated it and complained. Then they got a new social team to bring more online content and now that's what we get. Maybe sometimes it's too much, but it's better than nothing.

The whole point of Big Brother is that we should know what is going on at all times. Not withholding information like it's some murder mystery.

I mean they should save it for the episode and keep something surprise for the actual show because if all clips from the episode are shown beforehand online, there's no point watching the show so it declines in ratings

Totally agree. It's possible now to know everything that goes on in the house without watching the show.

Has to have an effect on the ratings.

It's the same with many TV shows these days. Spoilers are revealed before broadcast and sometimes it is deliberate which is stupid.

Knowing everything doesn't affect the ratings at all. The highest rated series of the whole show had 24/7 live feed.

Noooo I hated the backdoor evictions because we literally had no clue if our favourite had been booted.

BB was always about things happening "live" and that's how it always should be.

Yet we still don't find out things like Tom leaving the house for dental work or w.e

Funnily enough they've gone and told us on BOTS that they nominated today, but haven't revealed who's up

They'll ruin it by releasing a video of the nominations result reveal on Twitter

I don't mind finding out before watching the episode as you still get to see their reactions to going up.

Erm C4 BB fans may disagree, someone hold us back

There shouldn't be information hidden from the viewers at any time, this has always been the case. The entire concept of Big Brother is that we're supposed to be aware of what's going on, and if we don't know... it's not Big Brother.

Ratings aren't the only factor in the show. There is an online following that we have to factor in, as well as the fact a lot of people do just keep up with the show via online clips and the Twitter feed, not to mention those who watch overseas. I understand that Channel 5 might only see the ratings but the information that the public is given is vital to the show.
