wow, it is no fun watching old Helen realise that she is just too old for this ****. I think "one" needs to accept that "ones" TV career is over.

Yes it's sad in a way, but don't feel too sorry for her. She's no fool and is probably happy to pocket tens of thousands for a few weeks discomfort. I certainly wouldn't object in her position.

I wonder, when she looks back on this, will she realise she has barely been featured? I do wish she'd smarten herself up and stop wearing black leggings all the time...

I have never liked Helen Lederer's persona on the TV.... far too smug and cynical. I almost didn't watch BB because of her, but she and Derek have really perfected the art of staying below the radar and I am so pleased that they received the horses' heads and I want Helen out. It is nothing to do with her age or her very bad extensions btw. :cat:

I will also add that when she is evicted, her truly awful cynical 'humour' will be there for everyone to see. She is not nice.

It sounds very rude and probably is but Helen has reminded me of an old bag lady. And as the OP says, just as tragic.

A wasted housemate place.

She has got to be one of the most disappointing celebrity housemates ever, surely? :(

Some go on Big Brother to promote their career, some go on it for a bit of cash before they retire.. I don't think Helen, Shaun, or Derek (its a young house, there's usually more of them in this category) were planning on this propelling them in to the limelight. They were offered ~100k and they took it.

£100,000 each???????????? And there was me thinking they were doing it out of the goodness of their own hearts for charity. I guess after this, they do Love Island? :yuk:

£100k for sitting on your ass in a house for 3 weeks, doing pretty much nothing. Christ.

She comes over as though she is hating every minute. Wait for the nasty jokes about it when she comes out. :pipe:

It's disgusting. Most hard working people would have to work for FIVE years or more to get that.

Helen should give the money to charity. She must have no shame accepting it. Appalling.

If people vote for tonight when she obviously doesn't want to be there then more fool them. What a waste of a place for a good housemate.

I suspect Helen is the only one in there not doing it for her career. She is billed as a comedienne but is a jobbing actress, I think the money, for 3 weeks work , was probably the clincher
