spoons, cool or tool?

Am I confused? I don't know. Is Shaun's total lack of ability to play the spoons cool because he can't do it all, or did he look like a tool because he actually wasted other peoples' time getting them at all...nevermind, it's just so unbelievably lame that my mind is paralysed.
