Model Lucy joins BB shortlist [merged]

A BUSTY glamour model is on the shortlist for this year’s Big Brother.

Blonde Lucy James, 20, is believed to be in hiding in Spain with other BB wannabes.

Show chiefs have whisked away dozens of potential housemates as they choose who will win a place on Channel 4’s Big Brother 8.

Lucy — who has appeared in lads’ mag FHM — lists Big Bruv among her favourite shows on her MySpace page.

She admits: “I love watching trashy TV.”

The show kicks off later this month. Bosses are said to want a sexy and fun series to help distance themselves from Jade Goody’s Celeb BB race row that sent shockwaves around the globe.

But they face stiff competition from ITV — who are taking on BB head-to-head with a new series of Hell’s Kitchen featuring fiery superchef Marco Pierre White.

This is so unoriginal and predictable it's unbelievable, so I hope this isn't true. Her face is absolutely caked in make-up so she's not even really pretty, but from her Myspace page I guess she does look 'fit' though - which may appeal to some...

I was expecting more from BB8 this year, don't know what exactly! We should have a lot more fun though, and I always judge HMs based on the way they are in the house and form clear opinions - so if she does end up going in, I hope she's less predictable.

They can't send a girl like that in to BB again. It will smack of desperation cuz we're all too BB savvy to not know what she'll be up to in there. She'll flirt, she'll strip off etc. It can't work we've seen it all before.

I've mentioned this already but I think Lucy James is confirmed for the house - a well know picture agency are securing rights to pics of her ready to sell she's a good looking girl so nothing wrong with that I guess!

Why does someone who is already in the glamour industry have to go in? Why does it always have to be a common girl plastered in make up who is a model and just on the show for exposure? What happened to the original idea of twelve ORDINARY people put together?
