As we all know, Big Brother goes on for quite a bit of time and is on our screens every day, when it starts.
But many of us have, Boyfriends, Girlfriends, Partner's, Friends, Family and some may not think like you? They may hate the show and I am sure that they will realise, that every day for either 12 or 14 weeks, which could be 84 to 98 days.
Some of your friends, family may get P*** off:mad::mad:
You can always tape it, "of course?"
But as you are on this forum, every single part of the Big Brother 8 will appear on here, piece-by-piece.
You will have to fit it all in.
But someone who lives with you may say:-
( YOU ARE NOT WATCHING IT!!! )

The most frightening part, when Big Brother 8 arrives!
is, who is going to win in the house?
there could be a few members on here, who will not get the chance to watch it, as their friends or family win the fight:sad:
A boyfriend or girlfriend may rule your life at that critical time:sad:

is there a second tv in your house??? if so watch it on there or
channel 4 now have 4oD which is an on demand service which you can either get on your tv or if not you can get it on the website ,they have a catch up section for shows shown in the last 7 days which is free to watch, hopefully they will be putting BB on there. As for the live feed/all day stuff if you can't watch it on another tv maybe pay for access through the web.

My family used to hate it!
My mum thought it was evil.
The only reason I was allowed to watch it was because it was on during Summmer.
My bf doesn't mind it....my friends are fans tho so we have good discussions.
I get so addicted tho :laugh2:

It's not a question of having a second tv in your house.
It is a question, when you are in a relationship and your Boyfriend or Girlfriend says:-
"Spend some time with me, instead of watching that boring rubbish:mad:"
That can be a problem with some people!
I shall be watching it 50/50 on my own and with my family/girlfriend.
But in some households, there is a BIG - BOSS around and it won't be easy for some.
A 14/15 year old schoolgirl/boy might have homework and NO BIG-BROTHER could be the punnishment:bawling::bawling:
nodisharmony
Well that doesn't just apply to Big Brother, it could apply to any tv prog. One of you may love it, one of you may hate it.

A very astute observation:wink:
"I never would have noticed that"
Of course I did.........
But a lot of people are looking forward to Big Brother 8 and in some cases, the big build up to the show and the eagerness from so many to watch it continually, day in, day out and all the conversation, may annoy a family member or friend or partner for a three month period.
Big Brother 8 is going to be big, but for some, it isn't so...
A war could break out in a real family home:bored:

Funny you should say that, my TV went faulty as CBB5 was coming to an end, but I've got a new one since then, phew!
My Mum and Dad have their own TV downstairs, the annoying thing is though that I have the only digital TV box in the house, so if there is something on a digital channel they want to watch I have to go downstairs to watch it, preventing me from being able to come on TiBB and update my site at the same time!
BigSister, you're very lucky!

why am I lucky?
Its on when im going to my grandads again this year same last year he was moaning 24/7 saying why Glyn was cooking eggs but his wife my stepgrandma(not my proper gran) got into it and she liked it
At least your mum likes it! My mum doesn't really mind, but she always tells me off whenever she can!

My dad's usually out when it's on, and if he isn't he falls asleep on the sofa, he says he is "Sick of hearing about it" my mum says she just doesn't give a toss who wins or who gets evicted and she said that the evictions are like public hangings. She couldn't stand Pete last year but she said Nikki was funny, didn't really watch it. If I watch it in the Living room she just watchs it too, but to be honest I hate having her there because she is like "I wish they'd stop swearing!", which just annoys me IT'S AFTER THE WATERSHED. Anyway I just watch it in here instead!

my husband hates it,but knows that I love it,he gets to watch cricket all day/evening/night long(depending what country its in) and I watch BB, mind you I don't watch the live feed all day long sometimes watch the late night live feed though,if your other half wants you to spend some time with them , compromise , watch the catch-up,missing an episode every now and again and then watching the repeat is not the end of the world, and as I said before if you can't catch up on your tv,catch up on 4oD(if it's on there).
And if your tv blows up 5 mins before the start ,do some exercise and run as fast as you can to your nearest mates house.lol

If Big Brother causes 'war' to break out in any home, the people who live there must not have very much going on in their lives. There's plenty of things worth getting upset over them, but Big Brother isn't one of them.
Btw I wasn't saying that you hadn't noticed that it could apply to any programme - I was just making a point.

"The War" part, is usually between families and friends who fight over the TV screen and even if there are other tv's in the house, which there usually is today, then partners, boyfriends, girlfriends who suddenly may find themselves neglected by the Big Brother 8 show?
Lot's of people out there live a life of routine.
Suddenly, for three whole months, change will come.
Most fans of Big Brother will be okay! But some families, it could be a problem.:conf2:

When my english teacher said to me to watch it, my parents did agree, so since season 5 we watch it, it's cool because my parents speak english fluently therefore they explain to me sometimes if I don't understand (don't worry i understand very well now, no problems anylonger) !
But it brings some conflicts in my house because...they love Aisleyne ! So last summer it was the war between Imogen and Aisleyene in my house ! It was really funny !

my hubby can not stand BB - however he is very long suffering by now and kind of just puts up with it. It is easier for me though as I am homes based for my job so I can have the live feed on through the day which means I dont have to watch every single show every single day!

But imagine if Big Brother 8 comes along and someone in your house, whether it is a family member or your Girlfriend or Boyfriend stops you from watching it.
It can happen, especially where the TV set is involved.
Anybody who is still at school may be thinking about this right now:conf::conf:

My family all kinda half watch it. My Dad watches BBLB and if its on while he is flicking threw the channels he will watch it.

I see what you are saying, Arneldo.
But Big Brother 8 will go on for over three months and for some people, this will cause problems and friends who many usually hang about with, will suddenly face a big change and Big Brother will rule.
Many people have TV's, of course!! But a lot of people have a DVD Recordable player or video recorder in the living room, but many kids have a DVD player only in their bedrooms, so, when it comes to the crunch and a social life needs to happen, a mother or father or partner will be asked nicely, "Please can you tape Big Brother for me".
Then the answer maybe, "Sorry, but i am watching a film or I'm taping something".
You all know what I mean....

I thought I would bump this thread back into action.
Big Brother 8 is comingin just over a weeks time and it is going to be 10pm but many will be worried, whether or not, they will have control of the TV set in their house.
Also, there will be worry regarding the time it is being aired. The 10pm slot.
Will the younger members of the forum be guaranteed of being able to watch each and every episode.
If there is three TV's in your house, but only one DVD/Video recorder in the house, but your parents rule and say, "Go to Bed", and your mum/dad are taping something else.
You'll be in trouble:sad::sad::sad:
Also, you may be older and have a husband/wife/girlfriend/boyfriend who is about to take over and stop you.
It depends who rules the TV set and who is going to take a stand:cloud:

But they didnt understand that I actually liked watching it. Like they liked watching their programmes.
Some of my mates watch it and like it. I dont have a partner.
My Dad is very anti Big Brother! However, he watched most of CBB  Said he just had to see what was going on hmmmmm... I'm sure though he'll be anti it again this year  Still... like i said... I havethe freedom to watch it on my own all day long
