Why everything changes in 10 Days time...

I think that May 30th is the start date; in fact, it's nearly the only day plausable, for these reasons:

Reason One) Someone found out that up to May 25th, there isn't an available time slot or something along those lines.

Reason Two) "Heat" printed a story claiming that it is 13 weeks and 2 days long. This means that if the final is to be a friday (August 31st from some sources), then the start will be on a Wednesday.

Reason Three) The lack of information at this point indicates a later start date-definately late May at best.

If we can firmly believe that Big Brother 8 will be begin May 30th 2007, then we can also believe that it will start 12 days later than last year's launch of May 18th.

Last year, information started coming in on the 2nd of may-16 days before the launch on the 18th. If history is to repeat itself, then we should get information 16 days (give or take a couple of days) before the launch, believed to be on the 30th.

Should this be true, the information regarding the eye, press pack, and even confirmation on the start date should reach us on the 14th of May.

This is in ten days time. Start counting down now...

Looks promising, they could fit a 90 minute launch show in there with still left over space for other programming.

Pure speculation,but I do think you're close. We usually get the eye placed subliminally in between ads for at least a week and a half before we even get the proper adverts. SO a start date of very late May does seem likely.

Three Reasons:
1. January 3rd was a Wednesday when Celeb BB started, it recevied very bad ratings, and viewings of 2.2Million, meaning it was lower that any other launch night before, including Celeb And Teen
2. BB never uses the same day for launch night as the Celeb series earlier in the year!
3. 30th is almost an impossible date, with speculation now, plus my daily insider who like only knows little glips here and there!

Also, if you will, they don't want people to miss this series as it is most cruciall to the show's future, otherwise it gets the axe!!!! I'm afraid to say!

Last year Endemol released info on BB7 for the first time on 2nd May 2007, 16 days before BB7 started! If BB7 starts on 31st May then that might mean we'll have to wait until 15th or 16th May to find out the first bits of official info.

Yes! People are just expecting to get BB info because it's early May. If people are feeling let down or bored with BB already then it's their own fault for hyping themselves up.

Thing is, once we get the adverts/eye release etc, the wait wont seem as long, because my favourite part of BB is like a week before lol, because we know when it is and it's really exciting.

Reasons why the start date has to be released at least a week before the launch.

1. There has to be a crowd there. They need time to collect tickets and arrive there.

2. Channel 4 are going to try and increase ratings, so everyone must know when the start date its going to be, so everyone who likes it can watch it.

ok ,I have done some workings out, some tv mags have an episode count showing which episode is showing out of a total of shows eg:11/14 meaning there is 3 more shows after that one, so going on this I have found the following:
for fridays(being usually 2 shows)
for Friday
7:30 free from 22nd June (Unreported world)
8-9pm around 20ish episodes to go (A place in sun-Home or Away)
9pm-free from 15th June (Ugly Betty)
10pm -free from 25th May (was Derren Brown)
10:30 -free from 25th May (was Peep Show)
11pm -free from 25th may (was Peter Kay)
so up till 10pm is full untill 15th june at earliest,but 10pm onwards looks good,(they could probably move some shows about,but 9pm show will probably stay Ugly betty,I can't see them moving Unreported world or A place in the sun to earlier as news and hollyoaks is on before them)if I remember rightly BB on Friday is 8ish-9 and 10pm(is that right??)and weekdays at 9pm?

Also The friday night project restarts on weds 30th May(tickets available for 30th may) so show should air on 1st June,or does it show on another day than friday??
is this a good sign for BB starting the same week??did it last year??
