I've read online that there was an Irish version of Big Brother but I haven't seen any clips from it. Do any of you Irish fans know about this?

They were planning an Irish CBB and they were going to use our house but I don't think it ever materialised.

The series was first broadcasted on 1st May 2000 on IrishTV, and was hosted by Holly Willougby up until 2010. Davina McCall and Dermot O'Leary took over as presenters from 2011 onwards.

She became known for her anti-gay remarks towards fellow housemate Tom McDermott, upping the ratings from 5.1 million to 6.1 overnight.

The term "ejection" wasn't introduced until the next series, therefore Big Brother didn't act harshly on the housemates.

Big Brother told him that if he could think of a super mean insult for Sean, he'd win his favourite meal to eat in the diary room. He passed the task by calling Sean a "poofy little snake" and said he "has no ******ing sense of humor" and "can't get a girl to save his life". Housemates noticed he was in a secret task and therefore only got a children's portion of lasagne as a prize.

Stephen Gately
Stephen (born 17 March 1976) was an Irish pop singer-songwriter, actor, dancer, musician and author, who, with Ronan Keating, was one of two lead singers of the pop group Boyzone. He was the eventual winner with a massive 72.8% of the public vote to win and recieved just 1 nomination which was from Sinitta.

Gately died suddenly at his apartment in Port d'Andratx, Majorca, early on 10 October 2009. His body was discovered later in the morning. His death was later determined to have been caused by a pulmonary oedema resulting from an undiagnosed heart condition. Ronan Keating and Keith Duffy entered the 2011 Celebrity Big Brother house in memory of him.

After launch night, lines opened to decide who should take part in the series twist. As the majority chosen Kieran, he was given a challenge to try and recieve the most nominations. If he passed, he was able to choose two people to immediately be up for eviction. He passed, choosing Courtney and Grace.

Charlene is a 23-year-old Cocktail Waitress from Manchester. She says she will be highly recognized for her love of arguments, her gobby mouth, and her flirtaciousness. She lives with her ex-boyfriend and told producers she had an abortion two weeks before the show. Her luxury item is a signed picture from 'N Sync, and has brought with her only one bra.
She has forum fave written all over her.
