i feel worried for my friend

she's from Germany, i really feel for her

i've told her that i'm her friend, and she's not alone on that forum





so what can i do, does anyone on here have advice for me i could give her

yes but wouldn't it have prevented the bullying if she was just honest about her personal issues

i understand that you're trying to help, Nicky, but telling other people about her condition is inappropriate. It should only be her preogrative to tell other forum members about that.

It's good that she has a friend in you, though. Just try and stick up for her in a way that is critiquing the bullies, as oppose to using this individual's personal life against them.

She has three options in the way to deal with the bullies, the 1st is to ignore them, the second is to argue her case and the third is to leave the forums.:shrug:

meanwhile Melanie (not her real name) replies

Your description makes it sound more like standard every day internet conversations than bullying.

If it upsets her then she needs to stop posting or find another website, if she is genuinely mentally ill then she needs to work on these issues herself and doesn't need you to tell people about them. One because it's not fair on the woman, and two because it's not fair on the other forum members to bring such deep personal things into meaningless internet interactions. Others should not be made to feel bad about things not in their control. ^^
